Righteous Kombis

I can't recommend Jared and the Righteous Kombis team highly enough. Jared has always gone out of his way to help as much as he can when I've been in need of repairs, parts and general maintenance. Even if it's been at the last minute!

Jared is always more than fair and reasonable with prices and the quality of work they provide as a team is outstanding!

Great experience with the team at Righteous Kombis! Jarod and the crew bent over backwards to get my Kombi back on the road quickly. They kept in constant communication and always gave me updates!
Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for anything Kombi related!

Jarred the owner of righteous kombi’s was so helpful and knowledge when it came to buying a van off him, he has such incredible knowledge and love for these vehicles, which made it feel really easy and fun getting a van of a good bloke and a great company. 10 out of 10 recommend this company if you are interested in a kombi purchase.

I had written a review on Righteous Kombis and was too hasty in my bad review of the tailgate seal that was supplied.
Jared cannot help what poor quality seals are supplied to him in some circumstances, I personally wouldn't carry them but as Jared explained he has to cater to everybody's needs.
The rest of my purchases have been on time and the best of quality but you do have to pay for quality.
I am just glad that I have kept my bay window under cover since it had 18,000 kms on it so I wasn't up for the big replacement bill some would be.
So I hereby withdraw my previous comments and should have looked at the big picture instead of a small glitch.

Beware! Not a decent person!
If you ask for a refund for product with issues you’ll get just abused.

The worst business owner you will meet. Bought stuff with my brother for our kombi which was not as advertised he abused my brother with horrible language. He should not be running a business with that attitude

I write with regret about my recent experiences with Righteous Kombis (RK) and would strongly not recommend them. Approx. 4 months ago I purchased an aftermarket Brazilian steering wheel from them for $245 plus freight. Due to Covid19 restrictions, my mechanic was unable to fit the wheel for me and so I did not open the package on arrival. The wheel was advertised as coming complete with the horn button, and the RK website specifically said that the button was usually an extra. I bought the wheel on that basis in good faith.

Upon opening the package a couple of weeks ago there was no horn button. There were however a series of small puncture marks on the rear of the wheel, as though something had been stapled there. I immediately emailed RK and explained the situation, particularly in relation to the missing horn button. Almost 10 days later, after repeated requests, they finally replied. This in itself was disappointing. In their response, they completely ignored the missing horn button and instead, asked me to send pictures of the puncture marks. I replied that I could live with the marks, but really needed the horn button as the steering wheel is useless without it. Repeatedly they replied, although not promptly, asking for pictures of the marks. They went out of their way to ignore my main complaint, never actually mentioning the button.

Naturally I became frustrated, as this useless emailing stretched out for nearly 2 weeks. Eventually I told them that I would complain to Fair Trading and provide negative feedback on various forums if the button was not supplied as advertised. (The button sells separately on Just Kampers for about $75). At no time was I abusive. In the end they said that they do not respond to threats, and could do no more for me since I had not sent them pictures of the little marks.

Significantly and very disturbingly, during our email exchanges, RK took down the text which accompanied the original wheel description which had read "Also comes supplied with the horn button which is usually an extra". They did this while ignoring that crucial aspect of my complaint. I have a screen shot in my possession of the original advertisement.

Readers can form their own view about the sequence of these events.

No doubt RK will respond to this review with claims about me not providing pictures of the puncture marks, and perhaps that I was abusive. I would happily upload the full email trail between RK and myself for others to judge and reserve my right to do so.

This is the worst service and ethically questionable treatment I have ever received in Australia. I will never deal with RK again.

Response to RK reply. CUSTOMERS BEWARE
I note that just 3 hours after the above complaint was posted, on a Sunday, RK saw fit to respond. However it took them 10 days to respond to my initial complaint! 10 days. Readers will also note that they somehow cannot even now, bring themselves to mention the missing horn button which was the crux of my complaint. I also note significantly, that RK do not contradict anything which I have stated.

I believe that RK have contravened the relevant section of the Trade Practices Act with respect to false and/or misleading advertising in that they failed to provide an integral part of what they advertised on their website. All I ever requested was the horn button, which they clearly advertised as being part of the original purchase price. Then later, they removed that part of the advertisement. This is how RK has treated me and continues to treat me. As a result I am left with a steering wheel which is useless, and am out of pocket by nearly $300 inc freight.

To pretend now to remedy the situation by asking me to send back the wheel is stupid and a personal affront. I shall continue to post this feedback on various forums to illuminate the way RK appear to conduct their business.

Order some rear brakes shoes, which were really well priced and very fast in getting them delivered to Sydney, well done Righteous, will be using them again!

Recently purchased a set of the stainless steel dress rims and they are quality and give my Kombi a totally new look. Very happy with the product and the fast service.

We found Righteous Kombis on recommendation of a friend who had bought their Kombi there. Jared was very responsive to our messages and was super helpful in regards to our queries even before we committed to a van purchase. As we are located in SA, Jared video called us to 'show us around' our potential Kombi purchase so we could see it up close and chat about it. Jared also helped us to get extra things done, like the seats covered before we arrived from interstate for pick up. Jared was honest and friendly and even checked in on us as we were driving back home! We made it back to SA safe and sound and our wonderful Bob (@bobvanlife) ran like a dream. Thank you Jared for all you help ensuring Bob was ready to jump straight on the highway in our tight timeframe!

I can not thank Jared and the team enough for the work they have done on lily, I took the car to them to help complete work and paint, some of which was fixing work that another company didn't do properly, they listened and were always helpful with every stage of the work, the fact that they sell parts as well made it easy to get lily completed. Their panel and paint specialist trevor is a master at his trade and has a wealth of experience that shows in his work, highly recommend these guys for everything kombi.

Sent what was ordered promptly and everything was as expected. Wide range of products for Vdubs.

Very happy with the service provided. Jared & his crew worked meticulously on the list of jobs I left them with & had my kombi ready to go on the day agreed. The extent of knowledge shared by the team is impressive.

This is an upstanding and honest business. My experience has been good service, good turnaround times and communication. I have been dealing with this firm for a few months now and with the exception of one hiccup (which was sorted out quickly and professionally) I would recommend this business without hesitation.
