35This is dog heaven here, be weary this is off leash and lots of puppies and out of control dogs around on a weekend.
Courts are in excellent condition considering they are free for everyone to use. Be aware though you may have to wait quite a long time during busy periods such as the weekend and afternoons as there are only 4 courts.
Great for a walk or bike ride
If you have a chance to go to Petersham Leikat, it's good to spend time quietly
Dog friendly Park with Cafe and public toilets (for humans). Conveniently located next to light rail station. Cafe serves light meal and dog safe coffee. You will find lots of fury friends here. Simply relax under tree shades next to the river is enjoying. Highly recommended if you love dog.
Take my dog occasionally down there just so he can play with other dogs while I get the best coffee from bones cafe very dog friendly and I drive from out west even
Nice playground, basic equipment, be careful for the dog poo in the gras surrounding the playground
Nice strip along the canal from the bay run to Marion Street. Lots of walkers, runners, cyclists, weekend sports practices, tennis, dogs.great to see everyone making use of this green space. There are toilets, water bubbler and even an outdoor gym area. Parking around here is a bit tricky, especially during the weekend.
Great place to rollerskate, ride a bike or jog.
It has 4 community tennis courts (synthetic grass), basketball courts, children's playground and a dog park with a dog friendly cafe 'Bones'.
The traffic around is very light and the bike path is far away from the road, making it a perfect place to learn riding a bike or rollerskate.
There are some restrooms near the playground as well as electric bbq and tables around.
Great place to take the kids and relax, play equipment and walking paths are fun to burn off some energy
Artificial grass. Courts are pretty good, apart from one which has mould and is dangerously slippery. Often requires waiting for a free court
Nice park! Especially Saturday 8am parkruns are best fit! If you are going for a run before 7 am then be cautious about some of the pet owners and they just leave them alone without a strap! Other than that a nice park!
The place is okay and has lots of facilities like tennis and basketball courts, kids playground and fitness equipments. Unfortunately, the tennis courts (near the canal) are not maintained properly. You can spot mud and dirt on the courts. The place is great for a walk.
A nice place to walk. Plenty of facilities e.g Tennis Courts, swings, other play equipment for children. Not a bad place to have a kids birthday party either.
This is a great place to let your dog run free and explore in a safe environment. Friendly people, nice to see and meet responsible dog owners. Great little kiosk/cafe there as well. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful park. It has basketball/ netball courts, kids play ground, toilet blocks, bubblers & a dog park.
Nice walk and bike route along the river leading to the Bay walk. Kids play areas and ample space for picnics
Not a bad place to wall there is plenty things along the path such as tennis, basketball and netball courts, exercise station with bike repair station, a couple of public toilets facilities play area, plenty of grass area along the canal with picnic tables and benches.
Lately due to the 2nd Sydney lockdown this area is SUPER busy. Normally it is quiet and a lovely place for a picnic, game of catch or for a dog walk or cycle ride. But in July 2021 it is super busy and even crowded!
There's a smooth concrete path through the middle of the reserve that is perfect for beginner skaters. It's approx 1.5km long from Marion Street up to the bridge where it connects to the bay run. Although some sections of the pathway have leaves or pine needles, they're easy enough to roll through and there are no big sticks or rocks. The only other obstacles were a couple of hoses across the path near the toilet block, for watering the new grass. Just need to step or little jump/hop over those, no big deal.
Really beautiful park in the inner west and by far, one of the favourites. They have quite a lot of facilities after the extensive revamp including several new basketball courts and 4 free tennis courts (which has been fixed up lately compared to the shoddy quality 5 years ago). The park also has amazing views at Sunset and is very close to the local Haberfield shops.
