This was our first time renting out a stand alone house and as such, we had quite a few questions which Robert Riddell answered thoroughly.

Had a really great experience with Carmelina. I really appreciate the support she has given to us to make our moving less stressful.

I was in the process of purchasing a property with an agent with this company, Melissa. Our offer on the property was accepted. She led me to believe in order to take the property off the market she would need the deposit in the trust account. My partner and i signed the contract which the vendor had already signed, my 10% deposit was in her trust account and she texted me that the exchange would happen shortly. She then allowed another buyer to make an offer after that text message was sent to me. What reputable agent would do this? This is completely unethical and immoral practise. Why was she not telling the other buyer the deposit has been taken and they are too late. I highly discourage anybody from using this agent and using this company. They have no values except for money in their own pocket.

Young people, specifically females beware.
I should have seen the warning signs from the start. When I attended an inspection with Robert, I was warned of a leak in the roof that had been “fixed” but just needed painting. Throughout my tenancy, I spent significant amounts of time communicating with Robert and tradesmen (who would come into my home, only at times I wasn’t there.would never agree to times I was home risking the safety of my belongings) to fix the black mould and leaking wall that attracted all sorts of bugs and awful smells. Additionally I had the blame thrown on me for this leak/mould not being fixed, months after my initial complaint, as I did not want people in my home whilst away for Christmas.
When vacating the property due to landlords selling, I was taken for an absolute ride ($$$$$). After 2 weeks of radio silence after my final inspection, I assumed everything was fine as my emails and calls were ignored. However.landlords and realtor was clearly just preparing case to make a dime for an already falling apart apartment. I was charged $200 for cleaning, despite their being actual FECAL matter in the toilets when I moved in. They also accused me of staining the carpet, despite photos being unclear and stating the stains I had photos of from when moving in was just “dirty carpet”. Sorry, what’s the difference? And why should I leave the unit SPOTLESS if you give it to your tenants in a disgusting state?
Attempting to charge me $4000 for new carpet for a 1 bed unit was laughable, especially due to the damage the leak caused. Luckily, I ended up only paying a small fee compared to what invoices, time and tribunal fees would have cost. If I could have included proof Robert was continuously stalking my social media into my tribunal case, I would have. Nice attempting at taking advantage of a young woman for some cash to fix a broken unit to benefit the sale but try a little harder next time. Stay clear of this realtor even if the property is great.it is not worth it!
