Residential Engineering reviews
7 Friendly staff and very knowledgeable. I am a trainer and assessor for bricklaying and needed to get clarification on some bricklaying specific australian standards. After contacting 10 different organisations including HIA, think brick, and other structural engineers in the area, no-one seemed to have an idea or a satisfactory explanation. After contacting Residential Engineering I was told they would have someone call me back. Anthony called me back with exactly the information I needed, talked with me for 20 minutes with detailed answers to the questions I had and directed me to some technical notes I could refer to with more in depth information. It was an obscure request about a minor detail required for ensuring longevity of brickwork and Anthony seemed to know everything about it. If he can know so much about such a minor detail I can only imagine the breadth of his knowledge on more significant engineering designs and principles.
He even followed up with an email the next day clarifying the information and attaching documentation to assist me further. If I were building there is no doubt, I would approach this company for the engineering specification side of things.
They did geotechnical/soil classification report for me on an empty relatively flat block of land in a well established suburb. The previous building had been standing their without any issues for good 40 yrs without any piers. However, they classified site as P - which means mine subsidence, landslip, collapse activity or coastal erosion (e.g. Dunes), soft soils with a lack of suitable bearing, cut and/or filled sites, or creep areas. I only realised this until was too late - costing me thousands more to construct. I wonder if the report had been honestly prepared. It feels like they did the report just to keep themselves safe. I am not impressed.
Residential Engineering are an outstanding company. Rick and his team did a sterling job from a technical point and a customer service point. Highly recommended. Thank you team.
I can't praise Rick and his team highly enough for their expert level of knowledge, professionalism and the ease of communication they extended to me throughout the planning phase right up until completion.
What a pleasure it was to have the guys from Residential Engineering do the inspection and the work they did with our builders on the go was amazing.
Not one delay in works.
I have been dealing with Residential Engineering throughout our building project, they have provided exceptional service and prompt support at short notice. Its a pleasure dealing with your organization and certainly one I would recommend.
The Team at Residential Engineering assisted me with my statement of structural adequacy and drawings and design statement for my residential CDC. They were professional and great to deal with. I highly recommend their services.
