I don’t know what is going on with Renshaws but the changes are not positive! 5 years ago, we dealt with Martin and Fiona for my Aunt’s funeral. Martin was professional, showed such respect and empathy to us all. Could not recommend highly enough. (We have always gone to Renshaws even when Michael was running it.) Fiona was just beautiful, so gentle, caring and compassionate.
I had the utmost respect for Martin, until this year! This year, we needed to return and what a disgrace! A lady named Keegan was rude and dismissive, even though we were close family of the deceased, we were treated like we weren’t relevant and like only a select few were family and Keegan only communicated with the select few. I will never forget how Keegan made me feel or how she spoke to me.
We also attended a viewing, to say our goodbyes and it was done so poorly. We didn’t have privacy, we could hear all the carry on in the building. When Michael ran Renshaws, viewings were done in private room, soft music playing, dimmed lights away from main entrance and you couldn’t hear a pin drop. More personal and intimate- it was respectful for final goodbyes.
This year, we walked in and wondered if we had walked in to a funeral director’s or a childcare centre! Totally inappropriate.
People never forget how you make them feel, so we won’t be returning for any further family funerals unless standards are raised and attitudes changed!

As per Jane's review, they have mishandled our dad's records and 2 months later still waiting for the death certificate. Do not use this company.

I had the displeasure of dealing with Martin, who displayed a shocking lack of compassion and professionalism. He seemed disinterested in our needs and was uncommunicative. The funeral arrangements were mishandled leading to unnecessary stress in an already incredibly difficult time. I would strongly advise against using Renshaw's.

Martin handled my grandmothers funeral arrangements with the upmost respect and decorum. He was professional and timely in our arrangements and helped us every step of the way. The service, booklets and overall presentation of everything was fabulous. I would highly recommend dealing with Martin and his team, they made a difficult time that much easier for our family. Thank you Martin.

When our dear Mum passed away, Renshaws made the process of organising her funeral almost bearable. They were always professional & very courteous. They were very sensitive to our needs at a very difficult time for us & nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. Would definitely recommend their services.

It is very hard to write a review when you wish you never have had the need to use a Funeral Company. My family and I highly recommend Tim and his team. He was very caring, understanding and professional. We felt confident that he would bring everything together for us. Tim helped make a really horrible day for us as good as it could be. We feel very grateful Renshaw's Funerals took such good care of us after the passing of our beloved Don. They were so kind, respectful, caring and considerate at every stage. Having someone come to our home to prepare for the service took the stress out of an already difficult time.

Thank you Martin & Fiona for the care taken with out mother. From the arrangement process with a clear understanding of the service layout and the price structure of the funeral was truly appreciated, you helped us with a dignified send off but within our budget. The rosewood coffin was beautiful as were the roses on the coffin. Your service, fees and care we could not fault. Thank you also to Bathurst Chapel & Crematorium for catering to our families needs for our family viewing and time of reflection. Heartfelt thanks to all.

Renshaws arranged a memorial service in Sydney for a friend of ours. Martin and Fiona are wonderful people, and nothing was too hard in delivering a tailored event for our friend. The memorial was attended by hundreds of people who were all impressed with the beauty of the surroundings and the service. Their professionalism in being able to deliver a service so far away from their base impressed us. I highly recommend them.

Hello Staff at Renshaws, with deep appreciation for the guidance provided for our Dad Bill's Cremation Funeral. Tim you are a true gentleman, you gave us the time we needed to cope with Dad's passing and then to put the Cremation Funeral Service together. The gold cross on our Dad's coffin was appreciated. Such a dignified farewell of a great man and done without fault. Highly recommend Tim and his staff for a affordable caring family funeral home.

Renshaw's website says "Empathy, Compassion, Respect" but that's not what we got from Peter.

We went to speak to Renshaw's about Dad's farewell and felt pressured by Peter to do everything then and there. They had already arranged for Dad's body to be transferred to them (after my sister made the appointment to go in for a chat) and provided no real assistance to us other than tell us after we explained what dad would have wanted that it would be best done as a "Crem Direct", sign this form, sign that form and pay us $5,500 (of which $3,180 were their professional service fees). We were told that we had to put notices in the paper and arrange the celebration of life service ourselves.

We wanted a viewing for Dad but weren't told he wasn't in a state to be viewed until 2 days before his cremation. The plaque on Dad's coffin also had the wrong date of birth and death (they replaced this when we received Dad's ashes).

Tim and Fiona were pleasant when we spoke to them but unfortunately they weren't involved for the bulk of the funeral.
