I’m surprised by the poor reviews here, Relationships Australia has allowed me to speak to a mental health professional without going completely broke. I am a tax paying resident but don’t have permanent residency yet so I don’t have Medicare, Relationships Australia bases your therapy fees based on your income. I’ve been speaking to my therapist for over a year now, we usually have a session once a fortnight sometimes once every 3 weeks. I started talking to her in lockdown which was really needed for me as I don’t have family or long term friends in this country. She has helped me so much with setting healthy boundaries and self awareness. I like the flexibility available with phone, web or in person sessions. Thank you relationships Australia!

This organisation is dreadful, they don't follow guidelines or their own internal policies that are there for very good reason are not followed by their own staff, there is no knowledge or continuity of clients on going sessions with counselors, children taken into private counselling sessions without parents knowledge or permission the list goes on and on and I advise other parents or partners to stay clear of this place.

Not impressed by my experience (s). Has a very public service/Centrelink feel to it. Nothing happens & nothing to show, save for time lost & money spent. A conga line of inexpertiese extorting the desperation of failed families.but I'm required to attend otherwise it'll be a red mark against my name.

It felt like all that was wanted was a result no matter the consequence. The child was not assessed for their needs. I felt forced into a decision. I felt unsupported. I wouldn't reccomended this place for family mediation.

I was in urgent need for the good of my baby to book a session with relationships Australia because the communication with my husband is 100% broken. Over the phone when i booked my session the lady made me paye an extra fee in order to assure me that we will have a session to discuss with both me and my husband. They took us 30 min each seperate and after i express my need of talking together she said we will after i talk to your husband separately. When my husband came out she told me we will talk together in the next session. I don’t appreciate to be pushed into buying a session that doesn’t match my need. I m leaving in holiday and because we couldn’t speak together my husband won’t let me take the baby in holiday with me to meet my family. I am very disappointed of Relationship Australia service.
