Toyota dealership in Wollongong did the diagnostic tests on my daughters prius and told us that it would cost $6000 because we needed three different parts including a new battery. I decided to get a second opinion from John at Hybrid, thank goodness I did! He suggested that the dealership probably did not have enough expertise to properly analyse the diagnostics and was just throwing all of the solutions at once and expecting that they would get a result. I followed John’s advice and purchased a secondhand battery fan for less than $200 cost and my local competent mechanic (lou from REL Fairy Meadow) did the diagnostics and worked with John to sort out the problem and now the vehicle is running perfectly some $600 later!

Third time I have taken my car here, and I have found them to be honest and reliable. I would recommend them to anyone.

I was ripped off this morning, one of the old men was totally harsh. After all experiences I wouldn't recommend any one to go for either pink slip or any other services.

I unfortunately broke down on my way to the south coast from Sydney over the Christmas break. After calling Rel auto and explaining my situation he was nice enough to allow my car to be towed to his workshop even though he was closed. He worked on my car straight away and got it fixed that Same day so I could continue my holiday. I can't thank him enough and you won't find a better bloke to deal with. Honest and professional.

What a great Bloke. Called in to see Regional Auto Electric to sort oit a issue with My Battery. HE has gone on awell deserved Break. Anyway Rel Auto put a new battery in my Car and said come back when Auto gets back from holidays. Outstanding Service considering he didnt have to. And he dosnt no me from a bar of Soap. I will be back and i can't thank him enough.

I had the good fortune to happen across this family-run business recently. Louis and his wife Lisa manage the place together, and I found them to be honest, professional and warm (warmth is an under-rated quality, but it makes the pain of shelling out bucks easier) Louis fixed my car at a very reasonable cost, and did an exceptional job. Lisa was kind enough to drive me home, which saved me walking my little dog miles through hot streets which we both really appreciated. Louis came in slightly under his original quote, even though he worked past his normal closing time to get me back out on the road. I highly recommend this business-it's one of those places where the owner has all sorts of skills and knowledge gleaned through the years, and isn't stuck in the robotic "specialized" unhelpful mould common in the franchises and rip-off merchants all over Australia these days. Give them a go, you wont be sorry.

Rel auto went above and beyond to find a fairly hard to come by part for my car. They came through with a good price and I found it extremely easy to deal with them. Will come back in future without a doubt.

I was pulled over by the cops this weekend, unbeknownst to me my registration had expired and I was not allowed to drive anywhere except to a place that could do a blue slip. At 2pm on a Saturday, my chances were slim.even the cop said it! I called so many places and no one was picking up, but someone finally did. Louis from REL. He said he didn't do blue slips but his mate could but he wasn't open till Monday. He told me to drive it to his business and he would take it for me on Monday and give me a courtesy car for the weekend. I was miles from home (I'm from Castle Hill, we got pulled over near Wollongong) and his offer was the helping hand I needed. True to his word, he got my blue slip done, even washed my car for me! My husband picked up my car on Tuesday and it's all registered etc now. Thank you again Louis for your kindness on Saturday! You really saved the day!

Took my car to Lou and explained that I had an engine misfire and lack of power. Lou advised that the issue was my engine and needed a new engine so he charged me $3500 for a second hand engine. After spending $3500 he guaranteed that the car was 100% fine. I drove tried to drive it home (2 minute drive) and ended up at the back of a tow truck rightback to the workshop. Told him what the issue was and he insisted that I told him the issue was with the engine. After he had another look at it he told me I had transmission issues and needed a new gearbox which he quoted me $2500 I decided to trust him and go ahead with it only to realise that the gearbox was never replaced and he had ripped me off. Legal action is now being taken and I would highly recommend for no one to take their car here unless they want to be ripped off!

The best mechanic I have every used. Friendly, extremely knowledgable, honest and affordable.
They also gave me a great price on my pink slip.
Will defiantly use them again.

Got screwed over by a different mechanic but these guys fixed up the resultant leaks and blown gasket. Definitely reccomend.
