Redleaf Cafe reviews
43Food was amazing thick avo spread on the smashed avo, coffee was strong just how I like it.
Hidden gem in Double Bay. I had a great time enjoy my brunch here! Friendly staffs, excellent chicken salad and nice view! Definitely come back
Management changed. Came across town for a lovingly prepared reuben sandwich which no longer exists.
One guy was coughing non-stop behind the counter then prepared food.
Acai smoothie is watery. Threw it out. Banana smoothie is as good as you can expect when your expectations are low. $10 each. Old fashioned plastic cups. Won't be back. Kind of sad.
Halloumi burger was excellent. Washed down with a mango smoothie. Yum. Pricey, but look where you are.
Fantastic views, and a nice spot to sit in the winter sun. Food and drinks are expensive to almost overpriced.
Amazing, little gem tucked away! Enjoy a nice morning brew complemented by a whimsical view of the harbour.
If I could I will give zero star. The service is extremely poor. Very rude and racism. Treat Asian customers and locals very differently. When order over the counter, a guy not from Nepal said I am very busy and gives indication to a French lady not let her take order. However, when serve other customers, he keeps saying thank you, sorry for waiting. He even said fxxx word behind the counter when customers are around. Unbelievable in this area, how I could ever encounter such a rude people like that. They also have different menu on the wall and the menu at the counter. When I pointed out, he just behaves oh sorry I don’t understand you and said we are very busy. There is no intention to serve customers. Never come back because of this guy from Nepal. Words will be escalated to ensure the cafe standards match with one of the top premium suburbs in Sydney. Please have someone educated to serve customers, this guys ruins this cafe.
Beautiful cafe with a wonderful ocean view and great service. I suggest the beef burger from the cafe it has this delicious relish on it!
This place is good to have coffee or brunch while watching the beautiful sea scenery.
If you take the Ferry and get off at Neutral Bay Wharf, it's attached to this cafe, so it's accessible, and above all, it was nice to be able to drink coffee while looking at the calm and peaceful sea.
I would give zero stars if I could. This place used to make amazing scrambled eggs and freshly squeezed orange juice. But unfortunately none of this can be found here anymore and instead they only offer one fried egg for $15. Feel absolutely ripped off and disappointed. Never again.
Readleaf Cafe is very cute beach side cafe with amazing yum food. All the burger were created with fresh produced and ice latte was the hero of that day as it was hot day too.
Overpriced food and drinks - paid $14 for my smoothie and iceblock. Staff was extremely impatient and rude. Will not return.
Location improves a somewhat average beach-side cafe. Limited but tasty range of food, breakfast and lunch, accompanied by strong flavoured coffee. Usual ice confections and multiple fruit juices. Service a little slow on busy days. Sitting in the sun, or in a shady area, and overlooking the harbour a magical experience and the cafe's major selling point.
I've been there in the past pre COVID. On this day I was on council grounds enjoying the weather hoping to see mates racing on the harbour. I forgot it was Tuesday and not Wednesday.still the nice breeze and view was worth it. Why don't I go to the lower cafè etc. I'd just been told I need a knee replacement. I didn't want to have a blown knee and then worry that a poor Ambo bloke would put HIS back out getting me up those friggin stone steps.
Great place to swim, sunbake and perhaps read your book. Downside? It's a bit small so it can get crowded and you need to get early. People tend to leave a bit just after lunch as there is only one cafe so it gets better. Also, there's an outdoor shower and bathroom and changing rooms next to the cafe.
Excellent location, and reasonable coffee and food selection.
The spot is beautiful - as you can see in the pictures. There’s also heaps of tables and chairs, so you’re likely to get a a place to sit and eat.
The cafe has potential to be amazing. The food and coffee are reasonable - it’s definitely better than a beachside kiosk normally is - but it falls short of the stellar cafe it could be.
If you’re in the area, or visiting the beach, definitely check it out - but probably not worth going out of your way to (unless you’re mostly in it for the view).
Good place overall. No table service, which meant long waits at the bar as there were lots of big tables in for Xmas lunch. Food was great. Very fresh, well cooked. The plate calamari was just calamari, no salad
Wonderful views, good pies, burgers, etc, delicious fruit granita drinks and friendly service. Very, very busy on a sunny day!
The guy taking orders got mine wrong yesterday and today. He is doing this cafe no favours, just annoying customers and doesn’t know how to smile. The whole team are a quiet and sullen bunch - first and foremost the older guy sitting at a table playing on his computer while chaos reigns behind the counter.
Horrible food, over priced and you can’t get any food untill 10 because there warming it up. Wouldn’t recommend should just go to another rose around the corner in rose bay
