Shock experience with Reconstruct Real Estate property management. The other negative reviews are on point, very dishonest with bonds and will make false claims and hold you liable for things that are simply not true, just to pocket your bond. Watch them get extremely defensive and aggressive when you maintain your professionalism in dealing with them and challenge their dishonesty and false claims, these guys are cowboys, please do your research and be wary of them.

James was our agent for over 12 years when we rented a property from him in Maroubra. He has been exceptional over the years - very responsive and quick to deal with any issue or repair, however minor. The trades people Reconstruct use for repairs are also very good, reliable and trustworthy. We also had a fair bit of contact with Karen as well, particularly when the home was about to be sold, and she was also excellent. Both James and Karen are very professional but friendly and personable as well, which is something I am now learning is rare in the estate agent world! I only wish Reconstruct were our new agents. I would very highly recommend them.

James and his team have been brilliant. My father's house needed to be sold quickly BUT. I was stuck in London.my mother was stuck in the USA.and we were in the middle of a global pandemic. James managed the entire process across 3 continents, 3 time zones and an increasing lockdown. We were communicated with in a comprehensive and timely manner. He arranged a full package of making ready for sale, including drafting in teams of carpet fitters, painters, gardeners handymen and clearance specialists, and then expertly marketed the property and sold it at auction for the price we were hoping to achieve. I cannot recommend him highly enough. If you need a professional real estate agent, with a can-do attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to achieve what he promises, James is your man.

We recently had a bad experience with this real estate agency, we had to move to another city, we gave the previous announcement, we got people who will take our lease and leave the house clean and still they took away our bond, they charged for cleaning when I had already paid for that apart They charged for cleaning the carpet when it was never bad, we had no pets and we only lived there for 6 months.they charged for damages that already existed and we had to appeal to make them realize that they already existed. Bad experience, I had made an agreement with one of them and then they changed me to the agent and that agent changed the whole agreement for me.very super arrogant people.

James and his team have been looking after the rental of our family home in Coogee since we moved overseas several years ago. He has always gone above and beyond for us including managing a very complicated maintenance dispute with our neighbors and even scaling a barbed-wire fence to turn off the water supply when there was a massive leak and our tenants were away. I am so grateful to him and could not recommend him highly enough to any prospective clients. Thank you James you are a superstar!

I found the advice James gave me on rental in the eastern suburbs to be spot on! Great professional service, I recommend James and his team.

Took 1/3 of our bond without notice and spent it on fixing damages that were preexisting as well a steam clean of the carpet, even though we hadn’t keep animals in the apartment. We left the apartment in a cleaner state than it was when we arrived (the oven was greasy, carpet had not been steam cleaned etc.), but the real estate agent refuses to give back the parts of the bond which they have spent on things that were at no fault of ours. Slow replies to emails (if any reply at all) and has been pretty much impossible to contact since the problems started with our bond. Additionally, they have not provided a copy of any of the condition reports even though we have asked for them several times. Would NOT RECOMMEND under any circumstances. They have definitely taken advantage of us being international students and having left the country due to COVID-19, as this means that we have very limited opportunity to make claims to our money.

James is super professional and will help you with anything you need. He will go the extra mile to make sure everything works out. He's super friendly and enthusiastic. Thanks for the help James!

Clueless, unprofessional and arrogant staff. This team will always have their own interests over yours, no matter if you are a renter, landlord or a seller. They will pass you along to a different person with no communication and regard, Amateurish and laughable pre-sales strategy and extremely low energy action management. If you don't care at all about your property, you have found your real estate!
