I never write reviews and this time I made an exception, Casey at Ray White Balmain has proven to be the right choose when we were looking for a property manager. We shopped around for a while as we weren’t happy with our current agent and she had time to give us advise to help get us out of a horrible situation that the old agent caused. Didn’t waste anytime and getting our place back on the market within hours! Call Casey and look no further she SHOULD be your property manager, her knowledge and outlook is refreshing

Casey showed us a property over the weekend. Sadly we didn’t get the property but her positive attitude and knowledge regarding the property was just outstanding. I haven’t seen an agent in a long time that can handle high volume open homes and been able to have everyone leaving with a smile on there face. She is really passionate about her role and it shows. Highly recommend

Casey is terrible, always sick & away from the office. She doesn’t answer her phone. Do not recommend.

Being in the trades industry and dealing with several property managers over the years, I have found Casey W up front and very honest and extremely professional and has that great can do attitude and nothing is a problem. Her character is very pleasant and a breath of fresh air, all interactions with Casey has been nothing but the best, she always goes above and beyond. Would highly recommend and thanks for being you

Ray White Balmain exemplifies the manipulative nature of real estate agents in Sydney. It was our fault as renters for assuming that we would be treated fairly.

At the resigning of an additional one year lease, we discussed the possibility of cancelling the lease a few months early. David, the agent, assured that it would be not be a major issue at the signing if we provided ample notice and secured a tenant to replace us with minimal gap in rent loss for the owner. As we were paying considerably more in rent per week than the initial asking cost, we further felt this was more than reasonable. Five months prior to the end of our lease, we provided notice to the owner and agent in writing that we would be breaking the lease 2 months before its 1 year end period. The agent brought up that a full 4 weeks rent bond penalty might apply for canceling our lease early, even 2 months early. In order to avoid this, our agent assured us that he would do his absolute best and all he possibly could in order to have the unit leased at the end of our tenancy in order to minimize the loss of rent income for the owner.

We agreed that the unit would be shown in the beginning of November to have a month period to secure a tenant to replace us on Dec 1st. Unfortunately, Ray White Balmain only began advertising the unit in the second week of November and even cancelled showings due to double bookings on their end. The agent did not appear overly concerned with working to secure a tenant and thus due to their lack of effort, the unit did not have its first showing until the 25th of November. We expressed our concern that it took more than 3 weeks for Ray White Balmain to organize its first showing for our unit as we hoped to secure a tenant as soon as possible. After vacating the unit and returning to Canada, the agent secured a tenant in the first week of December. We hoped that since another lease was signed so shortly that the full break lease penalty would be reduced. Unfortunately, the owner decided to request the full 4 weeks bond penalty without discussion or notice. After explaining that we discussed early lease cancellation at our resigning, us being exemplary tenants over almost 2 years, and giving 5 months notice, the agent explained the owner still wished to claim 4 weeks rent. While we understand that the contract stated a 4 week bond break fee may apply to us, the agent successfully manipulated us into believing that 1) it was highly unlikely and 2) they would do their best to reduce it. Given that we were excellent, reliable tenants who left the unit in great condition and caused no problems throughout our near two years residing in the unit, it is incredibly disappointing that our entire bond will be withheld from us. The disingenuous and deceptive nature of Ray White Balmain and greediness of the owner is a true reflection of the renting market in Sydney.

In response to the two 1 star reviews, I am the actual owner of the property. My property has been vacant for almost one whole calendar month since you vacated, plus I have to pay the fee's to find another tenant (right before Christmas). I am well within my rights to deny your request of no penalty fee. I appreciate that you were good tenants, but David was just doing his job on the direction I had given him. David has been a great agent to me and I would highly recommend him to any friends or family.
