Big selection for Bonsai if you are looking for a big variety. It will be similar to the ones they sell at Flower Power. Ray is really helpful. He gave us a quick run through on where things are around the nursery. If you are a novice Bonsai artist it will be best to come here so you have a choice on what to get. Ranges from $4.50 all the way to the thousands depending on your budget. Will come back again. Thank you Ray!

If you are serious about Bonsai, then this is the real deal. Between Ray and the others, you are in the presence of true masters of the art.

Came to Ray Nesci Bonsai nursery with high expectations that it was going to potentially be the best bonsai nursery I’d visited, almost 20 glowing 5 star reviews had me very excited to check it out. Upon entering the nursery to come to their wide range of pots in all sizes, you can either go strait into their shop front which is beautifully presented with even more pots, wide range of books and tools and even a fridge with beverages to keep you refreshed as you’re browsing their range. Outside with a number of sections segregated with bonsai stock of all different stages of development, the first section I visited had a range of potted starters and intermediate trees, I’ll be honest, these trees were a little underwhelming or over priced if the tree showed much interest. The next section I looked at was their collection of NFS trees which consisted of some stunning deciduous trees with fantastic branch structure, some really terrific trees in there. Outside that is there collection of pre Bonsia and nursery stock, good range there however laid out on the ground rather than benches. Next is there assortment of trunk cut or collected larger trees, some of these have great potential and you don’t often see trees like this in many nurseries (you’ll want deep pockets for some of them though). I also noticed a room that looked dedicated to workshops and training. Overall a great bonsai nursery, defiantly worth a visit but I can’t help but feel a little underwhelmed from the all the glowing reviews to reality. Please keep in mind I travelled over 6 hours to visit and have a couple brilliant nurseries.
