69 Looking at glowing reviews out here from apartment owners, I believe that the employees and management at this company would benefit from examining their responsibility towards tenants - who sooner or later (one would hope) would become buyers.
My experience as a tenant in a property managed by this company was far from ideal. Details:
- Multiple maintenance requests via email and phone calls were unanswered. They just did not bother replying.
-The conversations with the property manager were often terse and cold.
-The dryer which did not work from the first day was never fixed despite multiple requests. The agent simply did not bother to respond.
-A rent increase letter was sent by post. The property manager did not see the need for a simple courtesy call to inform or discuss the rent increase.
-No rent receipts were provided until I asked for them.
-No intimation was provided regarding the Xmas shutdown period (if there was any).
-My partner was misgendered on three occasions despite me politely pointing out that “he” was my partner. On one occasion, my partner was referred to as “my friend”. These experiences are rare in Sydney of 2023 - and shocking for a company that operates in a suburb like Marrickville.
-And I was charged 500 dollars to fix the flush during a post-vacation inspection. I was neither given the option to get it fixed myself nor provided a quote, as agreed on the phone. The invoice was sent to me after the work was done.
All of the above point to a disregard for tenants, and reflect poorly on the company. I would strongly warn folks against being a tenant with this firm-especially if you are a person of colour and/or queer.
Epitome of professionalism and ethics. I secured the desired sales result on my third attempt because of Mr Phillipo and Xavier. They ran the whole campaign with great effort and help me to get the result.
Maybe he deserves 5 stars! 4 star rating as I didn’t deal with Filippo for very long so didn’t get to really know him. I viewed the property on a Saturday, he gave me clear advice on what I had to do to get it over the line. My solicitor and I had to do some chasing around, but my offer was accepted on the Monday. Very pleasant to deal with.
I have a bad experience ever talking to the Director of R&H Marrickville as I am a customer to enquire about one of the properties for sale and very rude swearing without passion to answer the questions that I asked.what a bad example to be a sales person at the same time as the director of the company.so be careful to deal with it.
Excellent Team from day one - could not be happier! We chose Fil and his team because they provided details on what our house could be worth based on their knowledge and sales of other houses in the area, not just a random number but on fact which is what we wanted to hear - then the photos, video were spot on and we actually sold the day we went live due to Fil's contacts with a price that we were very happy with, it could not have gone better - cheers R&H Marrickville!

Was meant to do a house inspection hosted by James. Called him earlier to check if he would stay 10 mins extra to which he agreed. Arrived at the property just 8mins past and he wasn't there nor did he pick the phone. We were 3 groups in total waiting for him, as he said to all of us he would wait extra for us to inspect.quite unprofessional, most likely would be a horrible lease agent, perhaps we did dodge a bullet then.
We’ve had the pleasure of working with Rob, Paul, Mario and Max over the past 6 years. They have helped us with 3 moves to new houses during some pretty difficult times. Any problem we had, they sorted quickly and with kindness. Thank you guys for all of your support, we are so thankful.
Job well done
Michael Pizzata is very professional. He made the process of selling my late father's house very smooth. He was in touch very often, returned calls and kept us up to date with the process. His office was not in the area of where the house was and I was a little concerned. On auction day there was a huge turn out and the house sold for over what we thought. I was very impressed with his people's skills and highly recommend him to sell your property!
As my property manager, Robert was able to lease my property right before the Christmas period, which is generally a very busy time of the year. Great to head into this period with little to no vacancy and with a new tenant moving in straight away. Robert is very professional, knowledgable and was able to find a new tenant in no time. Thank you Robert and team!

The process of selling your family home is highly charged with mixed emotions and fraught with uncertainty. Terrible. So glad I’m not dealing with them anymore. Extremely unprofessional. Robert would never respond to emails or calls. It took over a year trying to simply organize the installation of fly screens to which we ended up just doing ourselves at our own expense as we ever got a response. This business is sloppy and they don’t take pride in their work. I would give a zero rating if I could.
Filippo was very knowledgeable on the area, market conditions and looking after the interests of his clients. He was quick to respond to queries and followed up in a timely manor.
