Railway Park reviews
15 Went to the twighlight Market on Sat evening. Good selection of craft sta
Lls and sweet food
Good play equipment and picnic area, recently refurbished. Beware of snakes (particularly in spring) George the local snake man (of many years) claims that this is The most popular area in Byron Bay for snakes due to its proximity to the towns storm water drains. So much for the environmental impact study!
This park is extremely unique and also has your familiar aspects like slides and things to climb on and around
As in the name of this downtown Byron Bay local park
Railway Park is easy found in front of the historical Byron Bay Train Station
* The Byron Bay train station isn’t used as a train station anymore.due to the train line being demobilised
On the day I visited the Railway Park. (after a quick walk, from the nearby bus transit centre). I found the park quiet
Even the impressive jungle style children playground was not being used
There’s plenty of seating around Railway Park
It looked like Railway Park would have been so much more active.if it wasn’t during coronavirus times
On the surroundings of Railway Park.is the Railway Friendly Bar & the Byron Bay Visitor Information Centre
Parts of Byron Bay CBD are across the street from the park.so close to cafes / restaurants
It was a quick reasonable walk through Railway Park & I will sure be back through.when I visit Byron Bay next time
Cool small park. Biggest issue is that it's too close to a large car park & more suitable for bigger kids
Beautiful old style pub meet a lot of lovely locals their which will tell you the best place to eat at
Great Saturday evening markets. Quirky unique gifts for sale and fun henna, glitter and hair feathers available to indulge in! Food was great.
Nice little park and playground in the centre of town. Good place for kids to hang out and also hosts twilight market with interesting food and cultural items.
Railway Park is a nice, chill, place in the middle of town. The seats under the tree and the little play area for the kids make it a nice place to be.
Loved this spot for children, it is more for 5 + years old. We went on a cold and wet day, no place to hide from the rain.
Must visit if you have kids. Right in the centre of town, and fresh after Council spent lots of money on it in late 2019
It's a park. Really the only park in the town. Not an exciting or well serviced place but is currently being up graded. One must wait and see what the new park is like.
Night markets on Saturday during high season from 4 o’clock. The park is slowly being renovated by the Shire Council. Free public toilets.
Pretty nice park, not necessarily aesthetic or pretty but it's a common meeting place in Byron and really brings the community together. Could use some maintenance though just to make it a bit nicer
Byron Environment Centre info rotunda has been in the park for 15 years. It is the place to get in touch with current environmental issues and Byrons activist heart. Check the notice board for updates. Also books, recycled shoes, thongs, hats and clothes found on the beach. Friendly ears and warm hearts
