I am 94 and had a large and deep skin cancer on my nose that covered most of my right nostril and penetrated right through to the nasal cavity.

After two surgeries that resulted in failed skin grafts I was really worried. At this time, I was referred to Dr Kim because of his reputation for successfully tackling the really difficult grafts.

From the first meeting, Leo and the entire Quayside Specialist team made a very nervous and frightened old woman feel very comfortable and optimistic that the big hole in her nose could be fixed.

True to his word, he not only performed a successful healthy graft but really sculpted it so that it follows the original nostril contour and matches the other side. I didn’t think I could get such a great result so I am truly overjoyed and relieved.

Dr Leo Kim is one of the most patient, genuinely warm and skilled surgeons. I saw him for an upper eye procedure.
It healed so quickly and there was no evidence of it a month or so after.
I never usually write reviews yet he and the entire team from reception, skin treatments (Adrianna, Marianne) skin rejuvenation to surgical are highly professional and personable and dependable.
I was very nervous prior to the eye procedure and needed more time which was always patiently provided.
I did a Halo skin rejuvenation treatment and again this was well communicated and gently provided.
Quayside does not push treatments they generously consult with patients to at all time do what is for their highest good and what is safe and optimises their natural aesthetic. It is rare to find a business that delivers on what it claims to yet Quayside does.

Dr Burcu has changed my life. I have severe severe eczema where I could not even go out, be in pain, avoid swimming at the beach and overall be uncomfortable. She has supported me in my goals have managing this and being myself and confident

In Aug 2023 I had extensive surgery to remove an obstinate spreading cancer (BCC) from lower right eyelid.
I live outside Sydney and was referred by my local dermatologist to Quayside team.
This team:
- Dr Shivam Kapila, did the
Mohs Procedure,
- Dr Leo Kim, subsequently did the technically difficult (because of co-morbidities) Closure of Wound,
- Dr Pedram Mohammadieh did the Anaesthesia,
and were brilliant in every sense.
Professionally excellent, kind, effective communicators and highly regarded by other surgeons who've spontaneously praised quality of result.

Three months on and this eye owner is filled with gratitude for their work and that of support staff.
What a gift!

I had MOHS surgery on 3 BCCs on my face. Dr Kim did the repairs on these. Since I have such sun damaged skin, I could not imagine where he would find skin to create a flap for the site on my nose. However, he did and the result for me is amazing. I knew the surgery was going to be complex, but Dr Kim is an outstanding surgeon. He explained the procedures to me in detail in advance so I was well prepared. Not only that, but he made sure everything was completed before my flight to Europe. The nurses in the team were patient and professional when the dressings needed to be changed, and the receptionists were always friendly and helpful.

Great to be seen on time and experiencing the care and attention given by Dr Kim and his team. The surgery results were excellent.

Quayside Specialists staff are the friendliest and professional people I have experienced. Receptionists Katie and Aimie are on top of ever detail, Andriana is a wonderful and caring nurse. After 18 months of visits they became my friends and I joked to be sent an invitation to their Christmas Party. They remember all clients names, they always support and encourage your personal journey. Best ever. Xs

Amy is very friendly and helpful with booking assistance. Dr Tatian is patient, thorough and knowledgeable. (I had done a lot of research on acne skin in the past 12 months, he explained all the myths and answered all the questions I had, plus explaining more things I didn’t know about.)

At no point Dr Tatian tried to sell me any products offered by the clinic, he in fact told me to just stick to simple (but more gentle for acne skin) products that work just as good as those of top brands during my treatment.

The clinic is very clean and it’s got a very inviting and calming vibe to it.

I went for post pill acne after reading all the positive reviews. I barely sat in the chair before being recommended roaccutane. I said I was pretty sure it was just from coming off the pill so I wanted to try something less drastic first. I was prescribed a bunch of other things.

I asked if we should go through my skin care routine and diet to see if something there was causing the issue or could be improved. The doctor told me they didn’t have time and maybe we could discuss it in another session in 3 months time. So $330 and 4 minutes later I was shown the door out with a bunch of prescriptions I quite frankly could have just got through a GP over the phone free consultation.

I also then had a follow up question and despite Quayside having many dermatologists I was told no one would be able to get back to me for 2 weeks.

Very irresponsible practice, no where near interested in taking a wholistic view. They’re just interested in churning through as many patients as fast as possible.

Over a month later my skin is no better. Probably because the Dr had zero interest in figuring out what the actual cause was.

Had a lovely experience with Dr Theone Papps at Quayside specialists. Dr Papps is very knowledgable and super friendly, she was able to resolve my skin concerns just after 1 visit but I will gladly go see her again for any future concerns. The team at reception are also lovely to deal with and the office is beautiful as well.

After urgent MOHS surgery, in the middle of November, to remove a large portion of my nose Dr Leo Kim went out of his way to get me on a 15th Dec flight to Canada to be able to spend Christmas with my Grandchildren & family. My recovery was excellent & I am extremely happy with the results. His staff were amazing.

Dr Leo Kim is a professional and dedicated plastic surgeon with a
Masters of Surgery in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the University of Sydney.
My recent experience involved a lengthy and delicate facial surgical procedure.
The aesthetic result was well beyond my expectation.
Following the surgical procedure Dr Kim visited me at 5.30am the next morning to check on my condition. Highly recommended.

What can I say Dr Leo Kim is one of the best if not best surgeons around. I recently completed a mole removal procedure on my face. While not a major procedure the impact of it going wrong would be horrible for me personally. Additionally, I have never completed this type of procedure before and slightly hesitant and nervous. Dr Kim put me at rest immediately and completed everything with confidence, communication and genuine human care. If you are looking for someone to do a great job, look after you (not because he has to, because he actually cares) and understand that some people don't love getting things cut on their body than I defiantly recommend giving Dr Leo Kim's office a call and starting with a chat. Plus everyone in the office is top notch and has a great friendly attitude making it all that better of an experience.

Dr Leo Kim hands down is the best eyelid surgeon. I’m confident to say I have one of the most complicated and challenging case of (Asian) upper blepharoplasty by far being:

- a revision with multiple scar tissues and lots of skin removal already
- prior case of Bell’s palsy with risk of not closing my eyes.
- very thin tarsus

On top of that I still wanted to have the double eyelid with a certain crease height I’m trying to achieve to open my eyes wide with symmetry.

Dr Leo Kim took his time and explained the process of the surgery and the risk associated at the consult. He then went out of his way to overcome all the complications I had with my eyes on the surgery table with his meticulous hands - and the results are amazing! I really felt Dr Kim put his heart and soul into my eyes.

One week into it - I’m extremely happy with the outcome and I’m very very grateful for Dr Leo Kim and Kate/ Phoebe’s effort who are all apart of my journey.
