Been organising our annual agency planning day every year for 20 years and the Q Station was the WORST by a mile. (1) a sign on the conference room wall that says ring 9 for help (it doesn't work) (2) a room you have to check out of by 10am despite having booked it until 11am (3) a booked and paid shuttle service for 11 people that never turns up (4) a pre conference room inspection that was a waste of time because it wasn't the room they gave us (5) a mobile number for the conference organiser that is NEVER answered (6) an "AV system" in the room that costs an additional $400 to simply turn on (we took our own projector). Look elsewhere.

An interesting historic place with nice private accomodations and excellent food at the boiler house restaurant onsite. Walking the grounds is like talking a trip back in time. The team were fantastic and accommodated some special requests for us during our stay. The only let down was breakfast, a Buffett was provided however the setup was not large enough or have enough food prepped for the volume of guests. We could not have eggs as there were none available which was a small let down given how great everything else was with our stay.

I recently had the pleasure of hosting my wedding at Q Station Manly, and I can confidently say that it was the best weekend ever! From start to finish, the staff at Q Station were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and made sure every detail was taken care of.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning. Nestled in a picturesque location with breathtaking views, it provided the perfect backdrop for our special day.

What truly stood out to us was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly, from the initial planning stages to the actual wedding day. They were attentive, professional, and always had a smile on their faces. They were more than willing to accommodate any special requests we had and made us feel like we were their top priority.

Our guests were equally impressed and had a fantastic time. The amenities provided were top-notch, and everyone enjoyed exploring the beautiful surroundings. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, offering a perfect retreat for our guests.

Overall, I cannot recommend Q Station Manly enough for a wedding or any special event. Thank you Maïté for looking after us!

Beautiful location and great staff. As classified by national trust the rooms are warm and comfortable but they are are preserved as per the period. Recommend you do a tour day (1 hour) or ghost tour night-time is 3 hours. The boiler house restaurant is a must for 5 star meal and really nice cocktails too.

Stayed 17th June 2023 for husbands birthday. Beautiful location, receptionist lady very welcoming and explained everything. Given a bottle of wine to celebrate birthday. Room (Heritage queen P2 61) ver nice, very clean. Shared balcony with view of water between cabins in front. Shuttle drivers very nice to and from reception to room even though they were busy. Many reviews state you need a shuttle around the grounds but you really do not unless your elderly or disabled, the wharf area and restaurants within easy walking distance, even for me (I’m not very fit). The boiler house service and food exceptional. Views breakfast very good, buffet replenished regularly. Ghost tour with Jake was informative and fun, he really made the tour interesting. Wharf area beautiful, great swimming on private beach. Lots of interesting history. At end of stay reception lady lovely. Will definately be back. You have to remember this is a historical site, so some rooms have shared balconies, but there was only three rooms on our balcony and we didn’t see anyone. Not that we would have cared anyway. Just one tip, book your reservation in boilerhouse and views restaurant before you come for your stay to ensure you get in. Well done to all staff. You made our stay very enjoyable.

Not fancy, but what a wonderfully unique place to stay! We loved it and even though I've visited before just to walk around, I had more time on this trip to appreciate the history which added to the experience.

Well, lets just set the scene. $400 for one night in a 'Heritage accommodation'. The location would suggest that you would have a nice private room, in a bespoke historic location which has every need attended to, and for $400 you would expect that. But.nope. This has to be one of the most disappointing hotel stays I have ever encountered. Why? OK, let's list them all. Firstly, when you arrive you have to park your car in a public carpark OUTSIDE the location. That's annoying, but then even more annoying when there is a wedding function on and all the spots are taken. So, they then send you to the staff car park, guess what? Yes, all those spots are taken to so you end up parking on a grass verge within the Q Station area. That's ok, there is a full 24 hour shuttle service to make sure you get about the whole site easily. Oh, hold on, I'm afraid that when a wedding is on their priority is to ensure all wedding guests get in and out of the site. Hotel guests? Sorry guys, you'll just have to wait. So you have NO control over your site movements. Big tip, ask if a wedding is on, if the answer is YES, then say NO I'm not staying! What next, the room. A $400 room "Featuring stunning glimpses of our fabulous Sydney Harbour, this room is a queen bedroom with an ensuite and small refrigerator. French-style doors open out onto a relaxing furnished balcony space at Q Station. ". Glimpses is correct, some rooms have fabulous views, other less so, just great views of local tress and bushland. Big tip, NEVER stay in rooms 5-8 in the P5 complex, they are very disappointing.for $400. I keep repeating this price as it is NOT worth it. Queen Bed.nope, not unless you get your Queen beds from Hobbit Land, they are Double at best. Room Fan, correct, but no air con and in this location in Summer/early Autumn you NEED Air Con, very uncomfortable. Now, look at the pictures on the site, the rooms do look nice, but you do not realise that you are but one of a line of rooms in the same balcony area, that is 6 rooms sharing the same balcony. $400 would give you privacy, this is not $400 privacy. Now, back to the shuttle, for you to get around the site and to get offsite you need the shuttle. The staff, to a fault, are really helpful, even telling us themselves that the transport situation is their biggest failing and that management don't seem to care enough to fix it. Hey, here is a solution, get some Golf Buggys! Then the hotel guests (NOT the wedding attendees) can have some personal attention and mobility which would be what their $400 pays for. Seriously, DO NOT pay $400 for this location, public can wander around as they like (so they get the same 'historic location' as you), the rooms are uncomfortable and I would get from a decent Backpacker hostel. Am I bitter about his? You can bet I am, this was for my wife's special birthday occasion and I feel I let her down, I believed the hype, I fell for the advertising, I wanted a special location. NEVER again and I never post this sort of review lightly, in fact I don't think I've ever written a review so scathing but you do NEED to know this. $400. $400, you get $150 at best!

What a fantastic place to visit for a weekend stay. The Heritage Rooms are quaint and comfortable and dining options are great, including breakfast buffet. Service was excellent, quick check in and check out process. Highly recommend a tour available from the museum at the beach.

Great place to stay as long as it's not too hot, no air. We loved our stay. The staff was fantastic.

The building is little bit run down although I know this place is historical place. Need little bit more of TLC. Nice walk around hotel ground. Nice scenery. Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice get away without long distance travel.

Retreat Rooms at Q Station Manly are described as having "one of the most amazing views of Sydney Harbour"

All we can see is the unit in front of us.

We paid extra to specifically get a room with views.

Peaceful place to stay. However it scared me at night due to its historical significance and darkness.

We spent two wonderful nights at Q station. The bed was extremely comfortable and cosy. Did the history tour. Martin, our guide made it a very interesting experience with his wonderful knowledge. Highly recommend staying at the Q Station. We will definitely be back to stay, hopefully longer next time.

Always a great night, go with an open mind and it can be a fun creepy night.
Take away the ghost element and alot of history here, the tours new alot, so there is a lot of interesting things to learn from the past.

Always great to come to the Q Station. Did a ghost tour which was good but it did feel a bit rushed due to having a large group. Will be back again.

Efficient staff. Very peaceful and close to nature. We came sunday and stayed earlier part of the week. The view was spectacular. The rooms are basic but clean. Tye only downside was the boiler room (restaurant) was closed but still had options to get uber eats delivered.
