Pyrmont Community Centre reviews
9This is a really cool community centre. Positioned below the road it is easy to miss, but it will be a great community asset in the future.
Barnardos volunteers set up the
hall ready for Christmas in
Pyrmont on the 24th which was a
success and Santa being a 'hit'
with the children.
Currently learning Ukulele (slowly) with a fun group of locals, the PCC is an asset to the Pyrmont community with something for all ages
You can offer Friday prayers except for a public holiday. Which is great if you’re living in close parameter.
Attended a birthday party at one of the hall, it was clean, air con works really well when it was 38C outside, and the toilet was clean
You can pick up your (online reserved) library books from Sydney's libraries here. There is a after-school and vacation care centre for kids, a small library where you can pickup free books or leave your read books for others. The centre also runs regular programs for ballet, judo, etc. Info is posted on the bulletin boards. There is a customer service desk that is manned during business hours.
What a great community centre. Full of of activities for anyone and everyone. Great little library and reading room, big children's play ground and I love attending my group ukulele classes.
Beautiful old building. My dad studied here as a boy and had lots of history to pass on.
I recently attended the Community dinner (the last Fri of the month) for Residents, Bendigo Bank catered for the evening, it was lovely to meet new residents and say hello to others. The Pyrmont Centre has gone from 12 Programs to over 50 now, there is something for everyone here from Babies to the Elderly. Who wouldn't live in Pyrmont?
Love the vibrant environment and variety of activity offers. Best it's too with friendly and very helpful staff. Keep up with the good effort:)
