Puppy Avenue

I have had the worse grooming experience with my first one and it was very hard for me to find another trust worthy groomer until I stumble upon Puppy Ave.

You can tell that the place is fully secured. When they don’t have any bookings, they ensure the front glass door is locked so there’s no intruders coming in that can potentially steal your puppy. There is also a puppy gate right next to the glass door to ensure the safety of the puppies being dropped off to be groomed.

I love this place because I know that after my 2 girls are done being groomed, they are not caged up or being left inside a crate as they do not to well in a crate. Everytime I pick them up, they are always being patted or cuddled by one of the staff there! The 2 girls are always smelling nice and fresh whenever I pick them up and they are always super happy. The prices is quite dear, but you pay for the quality service and the patience that the groomers have for each of the girls! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere safe and someone whom you can trust. The staff here are lovely, caring and very patience. You can tell that they are the same to our puppy when we are not around.

Would give it 10 stars if I could. Excellent service, excellent professionalism will definitely come back.

Max and the team are friendly and accomodating. We've been pretty happy with our doggo's grooming, we always look forward to what he'll look like after a fresh cut. When I let Max know I wanted a few changes to his groom, Max was more than happy to fix it up the week after. Would highly reccomend!

First experience was good.

Pros: Quick and accurate work. Good attention to the requests and details. My dog seemed happy.

Cons: Too small shop and no suitable waiting area for dogs. Slightly more expensive than my other pet groomer.

The Owner of Puppy Avenue is amazing, always go above and beyond with my two furbabies C & C. Not only does he do it for our dogs, but also for dogs that are known / unknown to us.

From the customer service, quality and care, I would highly recommend any pawrent who are looking for a groomer who does and complete the job in detail.

You can find any groomer who can simply cut and/ groom your dog, but it's rare to find a 'Groomer' who does it with passion and delivers.

Not worth the price at all! Cut my dog’s belly and when I went there to talk to them, they said” it’s your dog’s fault, he moves too much! ” What else can I say!

My dog Ezra was anxious about his visit but by the end of it, he was happy and bouncing around. He has a difficult Spitz coat but the team at puppy Avenue groomed it beautifully and expertly handled his double coat. Will definitely be back every month! We even got a polaroid from them too! Would give 10 stars if I could.

Full summer groom for Oliver and he looks like such a little gentleman! Came back with a a complimentary bow and a nice photo of him printed out. The service was quick but not rushed.

Did a superb job on my super shaggy and hyperactive puppy. First haircut. She was happy there. Highly recommend.

My very anxious 2 year old Cavoodle looks very handsome and apparently was very well behaved! Max does a wonderful job and they obviously made my little man feel very calm and comfortable, much to my surprise. I was expecting them to call me to say he was too stressed and he’d need to be sedated by the vet to be groomed but not to be! My little 7 month old female Cavoodle looks absolutely adorable too (she still has a shaggy puppy cut) and both were very happy when I picked them up. Very good prices too! I’ll definitely be going back regularly.

AWFUL experience, causing lasting damage to my dog's coat.

If you have a double-coated dog breed, AVOID THIS GROOMER.

I have tried to contact the practice for a resolution and have been ignored.

I am stunned that this practice does NOT have the basic knowledge, training or experience in how to groom double-coated dogs, and has caused lasting damage to my dog's coat. Just as shocking is that they failed to follow my simple instructions and did the exact, literal opposite of what I asked for (despite having confirmed it in writing when I made my booking, and again confirmed it verbally in person).

I requested only a bath, brush, and trim under the paws and around the bum - no scissors or cutting or clipping or shaving anywhere else at all. I confirmed this in writing when making the booking, and then I repeated and explained it multiple times to the two receptionists when I dropped off my dog.

And yet, they did the exact opposite: they trimmed and shaped her face and full body, had inexplicably shaved her stomach/belly area (? !), and even trimmed her tail.

Basic training for groomers is that the above should NEVER be done on a double-coated dog. These dogs rely on their natural long coats for heat regulation, and regrowing the lost hairs successfully is very difficult due to the double layers. My puppy’s coat will likely never again be the same, and will take many months to even start to reverse the damage.

Not to mention that my simple, clear instructions were ignored. This groomer thought he knew better, and decided to go against my instructions to do a cut and style that he preferred.

This was an absolutely appalling experience, and equally appalling and unprofessional follow-up by ignoring my attempts to contact them for a resolution.

I don't normally write reviews, but felt I needed to share this warning to others who might be taken in by the other positive reviews.

I suggest that this practice stop accepting bookings for double-coated breeds until they have undertaken basic training and qualifications in both grooming and customer service.

The owner and groomers are super nice and pay attention to details.
The best my dog has been to so far and we wouldn’t go to else where from now.
They even printed a photo they’ve taken to let us take home.

This place is fabulous. The owner is friendly, professional and love dogs. The place is squeaky clean and the grooming done on my puppy are very good. Nothing to complain about.
