Very professional friendly service. Was kept informed at every step of my exam. Everyone from reception to radiographer to radiologist were lovely.

This is not a complaint - the reception staff were extremely efficient and friendly, and so was the procedure - but I have a very real concern, which I would like to see addressed, and I would like a reply.
I was in for an MRI - quite a stressful and sometimes traumatic experience, eg for someone with anxiety issues, claustrophobia, fear (cancer, upcoming brain surgery related etc).
The "patient" is ordered to lie very still and not move at all for the required time - mine was 20 minutes.
I was provided with earplugs (no explanation) and earphones (no explanation. If I had not had one of these before, and if I was at all fearful, I would have been quite scared.
But as I knew the drill, I was not worried. However, the type of music with which I was 'assaulted' during the process was unbelievable!
I have worked as a music performer and teacher all my adult life,
experienced 4 teenage grandsons and their music, teenage bands, & pop concerts, but I have NEVER heard what I was forced to listen to for 20 minutes - beginning with "Another one bites the dust" by Queen - which could have been very upsetting for someone who took it seriously!
So I researched things:
(1) The music I heard appears to be a type of RAP - known as Gangsta Rap, Crunk, Ghetto house, are a few names - hardly relaxing or calming!
(2) The music is SUPPOSED to be relaxing - I cant imagine any of the elderly people waiting there finding that relaxing - if they heard the same I did. The 2 technicians very casually referred to it as a "random USB" when I said "What was all that ghastly music? If I had not spent my time mentally analysing, half in my critical musician brain, I would have "wanted out".
PLEASE could whoever reads this take it seriously.
My experience COULD have been devastating for another person who was in a mentally stressed condition.
I have laughed over it with many people since, but it should be taken seriously at some level.
I would love a reply to be assured that this will not happen so some poor anxious person in the future.

You never go to a place like this for a good time but at least when you come here you are met by really friendly front office staff who immediately put you at ease.
The rest of the staff are so friendly, competent and know exactly what they’re doing. It was a completely faultless experience right down to the girl at the front desk offering to call me a cab to get home. I can’t think of anything negative to say at all.

Have their own designated parking, so even though it's in the hospital building, you can usually park outside. As at May 2021, only patients can use waiting room, but there is a bench outside where you can wait. There is a wheelchair ramp. Reception staff are always helpful.

Admittedly, I was 10mins late due to morning traffic, then another 10mins due to construction at the hospital, and having to walk from a park further away due to the construction. They would not let me keep my morning/no food ultrasound appointment because they block off 30mins for each appointment. I said i would wait for a spot or cancellation.
The young lady at reception was very rude and said there would be no use waiting. The techs were asked and they said the same.no chance until maybe the afternoon but no guarantee because they might get a hospital patient they need to fit in.

I sat down to wait, as I was in pain and needed it done. A couple came in. Without an appointment and were told they would squeeze them in right away.

I asked why, and they said theirs was a quicker scan.

I called Medical Imaging in Erina, and managed to get a cancellation 20 mins from then. I arrived, was treated with professionalism and respect, and was in and out in less than 15mins.

I was distressed by the team at PRP North Gosford and am left feeling very disappointed by their lack of understanding and care, and lack of flexibility.
