PRP Diagnostic Imaging Bathurst

My technician was really lovely. Reception staff could be a bit more friendly - They also had a personal conversation while I was waiting for one of them to get the eftpos ready for payment, so was only for a minute or so but still felt quite rude as I was just standing there waiting.

My wife rang up to make an appointment. She was returning a call for an appointment that was through a Dr referral. I witnessed the phone call and my wife endeavours to be polite and courteous always. This even though there is a level of stress as to having to have the appointment. What she didn't expect or need was an 'attitude' and rudeness on the phone. Blunt, dismissive and an inconvenience to the woman who took her call. Sorry but as a first point of contact for medical conditions for investigation, I'd settle for just the facts not someone being uptight, rude, impatient, with no phone etiquette. We are not inanimate objects booking in for a service, we are people how about treating people as such.

Had a call from reception after a referral was auto sent from my GP. Was short and rude the entire time and offended when I had advised I'd taken the referral to the hospital instead. Had dealings with this place before with my mother, the X-ray staff didn't even offer to help her on/off the xray table when she has difficulty moving and walks with the assistance of a walker. We take all referrals to the hospital now as the staff there offer assistance where needed.

Sat for over an hour waiting for an injection, and still didn't get it. They admitted they were in the wrong, but had no fix to the situation. Horrendous customer service and rude staff. It's a shame they are the only place in town.

We were able to squeeze in an emergency appointment within an hour of calling. I was told it would be a 30 minute wait. But we were in and out within 15 minutes. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

People doing the imaging were great girl out front another story she was blunted dismissive with no eye contact. Treated Like I was a nuisance after just paying $300.
Very disappointed thank goodness there’s one going in at the hospital so I won’t have to go there again.

Nothing against the people who work here, they’ve always been professional. A bit shocking though that they charge for pregnancy related ultrasounds. Our doctor and everything online says Medicare covers basically all pregnancy related procedures, but since PRP is the only place to get a scan in Bathurst other than the hospital, I guess they can charge whatever they like and people will pay it.

My partner found out that Lumus Imaging in Orange doesn’t charge for pregnancy ultrasounds so that’s where we’ll go for all our scans from now on. You shouldn’t be trying to make a profit off expecting mothers and their babies’ health.

PRP are highly professional, friendly and personable. They rang me to schedule an appointment. I like that I can view my scans online and share them if need. All the staff were friendly and the areas were clean. I would highly recommend them.

I rarely comment on reviews unless they are very favorable because I do not want to harm any local businesses, as it could be just a one off for them that something was not right. Usually I just let it go. However, I have decided to comment over what happened to me again while attending PRP in Bathurst recently. Firstly, I would like to say that the lady doing the actual ultrasound was a very good people person and made me feel at ease and we enjoyed a joke or two during the ultrasound. A big thank you to her as Bathurst needs more people like you at other shops and businesses around town. However when I went to PRP reception on two separate occasions, the same person in reception was quite unfriendly and had an abrupt manner. In contrast, I could hear the other receptionist next to her speaking to a customer in the right manner, which was friendly and polite and how I wished she were talking to me. This is not the first time this has happened to me at your establishment. I really hope that something can be done about this, so that other people do not have the same experience. Another matter that still sticks in my mind is years ago. It was when I attended to have a cortisone injection in my shoulder. Both the doctor and specialist who suggested I have it done, as well as a staff member at PRP assured me that the procedure will be done in a relaxed manner where the needle will be gently guided in by using technology looking at it from a screen in real time, I understood. On the day, all went as above and I was relaxed and waiting with the nurse for the (I thought) equipment to be placed on or near my shoulder prior to the specialist to come in and talk me over what was going to happen etc. Then without as much as a “Hi I am going to give you the injection now” and any pre-procedure small talk whatsoever, a senior gentleman flung open the door, rushed into the room, raced over to me and (it felt like) just thrust the needle into my shoulder. He said nothing the short time he was there, rushed out again with equal speed. He frightened the life out of me. I asked the nurse what was that all about as it was completely different to what I was told would happen and she only offered that Mr? Must be having a busy day and also left. The injection did nothing for the shoulder pain (which I still have today) and it actually felt worse for months after the injection. Having said that, I would just like to add that I am no cream puff when it comes to life. Having survived many stoushes in the boardroom of corporate businesses. I am also ex army, know how to handle myself, have seen it all including the multitude of the joys and hardships that life can send our way.
I really do not want to go to PRP again.

A seriously professional and helpful staff at PRP made me feel welcome and looked after. Fast, efficient and friendly. I am sad I can't remember who helped me today with my ultrasound, but this staff member made me feel comfortable and relaxed and remained so professional through the entire appointment. I will never question making an appointment with this facility as I know I will be looked after.

I attended PRP Diagnostic Imaging today (Monday May 31st 2021). My appointment was for 10.30 but I arrived 9.45,45 minutes early expecting to wait the time. To my surprise I was called into the room by Lisa (sp?) at around 9.55 and was exiting the scan room at around 10am. Lisa (sp?) was friendly, fast, efficient, and very professional. She gave a complete explanation of what was about to happen and what to expect. Those with the power need to recognize the asset they have in Lisa (sp?)
I particularly like the online tool giving me the ability to view the scans. A great piece of technology. These images were available to view 2 1/2 hours after the scans were completed. Amazing.
I have had scans at PRP Diagnostic Imaging prior to today and they went very smoothly, but today was exceptional, thus the review.
For the first time EVER I have a very positive experience within the health/medical system.
Thank you PRP Diagnostic Imaging for going a long way to restore my faith in the system.

Lovely young woman did my ECG, but then an older woman came in claiming to be the head radiologist. She was rude, arrogant, and un professional. I left in tears and will never go back there again. Disgusted.
