I had the most amazing weekend in Tasmania, staying at the Japanese-inspired Provider House, perfectly curated by the talented team at the Provider Store.
Every little detail was just perfection, creating a wonderfully cosy and inspiring atmosphere throughout my stay. I genuinely can’t express enough how much I recommend this experience!

Met the owner a few days ago, as my law practice is 3 doors away. Fantastic man, selling fantastic and most unique things. If you want to be unique, get to his shop and tell him, Artur sent you there.

Provider Store is always my go-to place to buy homewares and presents because I know that no matter what I choose, it will be a great quality product. The selection of homewares at the store is absolutely stunning and impeccably curated, making it easy to find something for everyone. The staff are also a highlight - they are knowledgeable about the products and always willing to go the extra mile to help me find the perfect gift. I have consistently had great experiences shopping at Provider Store and have no hesitation in recommending it to others looking for beautiful, high quality homewares.

I had previously purchased a candle making class via ClassBento at the Provider Store and booked a class in 2020 which was cancelled due to covid. With classes opening up again, I attempted to book a class but was told I wasn’t able to because of the increase in cost from the original cost of the class, $95 to $180. Initially I was told this was due to cost of supplies going up, which I understand. However with the class being already purchased, I felt it should be honoured. She insisted this wasn’t possible and offered it to us for $120 with the remaining amount being sent via an invoice. When I took her up on this offer, she didn’t go through with it and simply refunded and cancelled the class stating the supplies are different and the location has changed (while the class seems to offer what it did before) and going back on her offer. Really not sure what happened there, but the customer service felt insincere. If the class was no longer offered and they had no intention of honouring it, shouldn’t I have been refunded 2 years ago?

Edit: I said in my response while I believe the initial class order should be honoured, I am happy to pay the gap and please send me the invoice for the remaining fee. Not sure how you came to an understanding that I didn’t want to go ahead when I told you to book me in for the August 27th class. You then went ahead and cancelled the class/ refunded me and told me there is no gap fee option.

The loveliest little shop that is nestled away in Surry Hills.
My partner and I always make an effort to visit (even if it's just to window shop hehe). Tara and her team are very friendly & helpful!
My go-to place to buy thoughtful gifts for family and friends.

Provider Store has beautiful items in stock, and the website is stunning. Also, Tara's customer service is superb. Take a look at what's available, and I'm certain you will find many a tasteful piece, and your home will be all the more welcoming and relaxing for it. Highly recommended.

A charming store that looks like it got cut from Japan and pasted directly into Surry Hills!

It's small but stuffed full of authentic Japanese homeware goods - shovels, brass stationary, kitchenware, and lots of things you don't know you wanted or needed (but end up buying anyways!).

Fun place to spend some time, the guys there are super friendly and nice too.

The perfect spot to source something unique and authentic, the store smells amazing and is beautifully curated. Great customer service, and I love their slow made ethos. I always get my re fills from here with the added benefit of seeing her cheeky Shiba Inu.

We took up ClassBento's Candle Making Class by Provider Store and it was amazing. Communications from ClassBento about the class details was very prompt throughout and allowed us to communicate to the class's teacher easily. Tara from the store was such a great teacher in the class - taught us a lot about the process of candle-making including how the indgredients are all organic (soy wax and essential oils, etc.). She also shared about her passion for her business which makes it that extra interesting. We felt like we made a little craft of our own in just under an hour and came away knowing how to make our own candle mix. Priceless experience thanks to Provider Store! ️

Tara is super lovely and extremely knowledgeable about homewares and candles. She runs candle making courses and they all smell amazing! Her homewares are elegant, well designed, and all have a rich history to them.

If you're looking for homewares or candles, the Provider store is for you! 5/5 would recommend.

Provider Store is your one stop shop destination for beautifully crafted, and hand picked Japanese homewares (also gifts). Provider is easily one of my favourite homeware stores, I haven't shopped anywhere else since it opened. Tara is wonderful, and such a huge help when it comes to selecting an item, and knowing its origin. I've never had a bad experience, and everything is always sent/received in impeccable packaging. The candles are one of my favourite things to have around my home, and it's always exciting to go back and to the shop for a refill (and a chat). I highly recommend stopping at Provider Store when you're in Surry Hills next, or even shopping online as it's beautifully curated like the shop front.

Tara's store is a lovely part of the Surry Hills community.
Her beautiful homewares that are carefully & thoughtfully sourced make for a meaningful purchase either for yourself or as a gift.
Tara herself is so friendly & you're always made to feel welcome! Always my first choice to pop by and say hi when in the area!

I'm a regular customer here and I love all the Japanese and Scandinavian inspired homewares. The entire store is beautifully curated and the ethos and atmosphere is always warm and friendly. Upon entering the store you're greeted with the beautiful scents of the hand made and hand poured candles burning at the front counter — so pleasant!

Everything is crafted so nicely with an earthy colour palette. I love how they support both local and international-based creatives as well as creating genuine and warm relationships with every customer that walks in. Tara, the owner, has a deep knowledge of all the goods that she stocks, and each ethically sourced product has a story behind it. Definitely a bonus to have lil doggo Pocari running up to you to give you a sniff and say hello too.

I've also done a workshop there with my sister and we loved the small, friendly group of people we attended it with! Tara does a great job at explaining the entire process in great depth, and you get to take the candle in the provided ceramic candle/cup you make home to burn and come back for a refill (I've already done this before. Such a great way of encouraging sustainable living practices) Plus you don't need to worry about needing to buy a new candle just to burn the same scent again!). My room now smells like Provider — yum! Nibbles and a drink also provided!

Highly recommend this store to anyone! If you're around the Surry Hills area, particularly, check it out!

Decided to do a candle workshop here one Friday eve and fell in love with Provider Candles and their whole ethos. I go back regularly for my re-fills, browse the latest Japanese goods, and to pat her beautiful Shiba-inu. Highly recommend if you like an authentic and local charm!
