I had a very similar experience to the review left by someone based in London, UK.

I was actually very keen and interested in his work until I had the virtual consultation. He barely let me get a single question in (i remember having to literally interrupt his monologue towards the end as I began to realize he just wasn't going to let me speak otherwise) and came across as rude and arrogant. Also he was late and left the consultation early.

I specifically emailed him prior to the consultation to say I want him to do an imdo, and he knew my location. He starts the video call saying that imdo isn't suitable for me due to my location - so why even give me the "consultation"?

Note it wasn't a consultation in my opinion, it was him talking non-stop and asking no questions and giving me no opportunity to speak. Basically a generic rehearsed speech, I guess because he already knew that he wouldn't take me as a patient and had to fluff out the time.

This was years ago, but it seems justice has finally caught up with him as he's been suspended.

I have hated going to the dentist since my first visit as young boy in the 1950’s! Low pain threshold but Angela is very understanding, has all the technology imaginable and did a fantastic job. Thoroughly professional and very pleased to now call her my dentist.

Dr. Paul Coceancig is a world class oral surgeon. His book "6 Ways To Design A Face" and specifically the procedure he developed, Inter-Molar Distraction Osteogenesis (IMDO), is an absolute game changer for the treatment of small jaws. I have been seeking out a solution for myself to address my sleep disorded breathing and was kindly given his book as a Christmas present by a close colleague of mine. I am a dentist myself (a periodontist to be specific) and I was absolutely blown away by the cases in his book. I have since purchased 10 additional copies of his book to give to dentists and orthodontists I know around the world to spread the word about IMDO, as I feel it would be such a huge benefit for our adolescent population with large overbites, versus traditional treatment methods of extraction orthodontics or more invasive mandibular advancement surgery. I have spent several hours talking to Dr. Coceancig about my case and others, and I truly feel he is a step above the rest.

Paul Coceancig is an absolute genius. I believe that his technical skills are truly unmatched and as someone who has been following Mr Coceancig for quite some time, I can definitely say that he is up there among the best. I have a class II malocclusion and I believe that Mr Coceancig's IMDO procedure would be perfectly adapted to my specific case. I've never had the chance to meet him unfortunately, but I would hope to. Hopefully, he will be able to tell me exactly what I need during our (future) consultation.

First of all, Evan was great.

HOWEVER, Paul was laughably arrogant and couldn't care less. I would love to post the rambling itemised "quote" for my dental surgery that he provided me with. It was illegible. There was literally a spelling error every 3rd word. I also heard Paul refer to himself as "famous" at least 3 times in my 30 minute consultation with him. The communication from reception was even worse. "I'll get back to you about your surgery in the next couple of days" translates to "you will need continuously need to chase us up over 4 months to get any kind of a response. "

After countless months of no help whatsoever from Profilo, I have gone with someone who has got it all sorted for me straight away, in English and with good manners. Profilo, you can send me back the $350 for my 'consultation' with Paul whenever you like. I'm pretty sure he got a lot more out of his self indulgent monologue than I did.

I feel sorry for anyone who has to have a beer with that bloke.

I recently had surgery to help improve my airways and breathing capacity. Being quite nervous before the surgery, I had a great experience with Dr Coceancig who helped give me information around some of the concerns I had, and this really helped get rid of some of my anxiety which was really important. I can now breathe so much more easily and have started running again - my recovery after the surgery was pretty swift so it was good to be able to get outside and get moving like I haven't in a long time. Thanks for making this so much easier than I thought it would be, and to get me running again!

Paul Coceancig is NOT a good human being. He doesn't even try to pretend. He's rude and aggressive and nasty. No idea why anyone would trust someone like this with a scalpel but Australia needs far more surgeons competing with him. It's a wasteland over here.

I had a fantastic jaw surgery experience with Dr Coceancig. He was very professional and knowledgable which helped make me less anxious about the whole procedure. My recovery was much less painful than I thought it would be, and the results are amazing. Dr Coceancig and his team made the entire process stress-free and I would not hesitate to recommend if you are thinking about jaw surgery.

I had BiMax surgery with Dr Paul Coceancig about 6 months ago to treat my snoring which had gotten so bad my partner was sleeping in a different room. My medical GP referred me for a sleep study and I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea.

Since having the surgery, I have stopped snoring completely and I feel like a completely different person. I wake up feeling refreshed, I am much more active, and most importantly my partner and I now sleep in the same bed.

The entire surgical process went smoothly from start to finish. Dr Paul was very caring and empathetic before and after the surgery. With the surgery itself, I experienced very little swelling or discomfort and the recovery went really quick.

More expensive than some other surgeons, but you definiteIy get what you pay for. I could not recommend Dr Coceancig and the Profilo Surgical team more highly!

Getting jaw surgery with profilo has been nothing but a positive experience. At every step of the way I was in good hands with Dr Coceancig, the hospital nursing staff, and the staff at profilo. I am very pleased with my result -in terms of both function and aesthetics- but this wasn’t surprising given the meticulous planning done. What did surprise me was that my recovery was a far cry from the often brutal accounts shared online. Any pain was very well controlled, and swelling subsided quickly; even right after the surgery, there was minimal bleeding and no need to wire the jaw shut. Many thanks to everyone involved, especially Dr Coceancig for his expertise not just as a surgeon who uses cutting edge technology, but also as a clinician thoroughly concerned with the consequences of a small jaw.

Everyone is nice. Dentist is professional and knowledgable. They are very mindful of my time and everything is always on schedule.

I had a very poor experience with Paul Coceancig and would not recommend him at all. His behaviour at a time when I was very vulnerable was reckless, aggressive and completely unprofessional. I've had nothing but problems as a result of my treatment with Profilo and in similar fashion to other reviews on here, there was a refusal to provide scans and records which I paid for myself when I requested them. The claims of harassing behaviour on other reviews here are no surprise to me as I have experienced similar. Steer well clear of this so called 'surgeon'. The attitude, the temperament and the skills are well short of what they should be.

I was initially so impressed with all the staff. The dentists and surgeon were so kind and so confident that they could help me. I was told I was a candidate for surgery and needed to pay almost 3 grand to plan my upcoming surgery which I did without hesitation. I then returned for my pre-surgery appointment and the surgeon hadn't even looked at any of the imaging etc he'd sent me for. He opened the 1st scan (which was free, covered by medicare) and instantly said actually you're not a candidate for surgery. Why didn't he send me for this free scan before making me pay thousands for all the planning that was supposedly being done by experts in this specialised software in Europe? He had no answer for me, told me he could give me a neck lift instead as my neck is a little saggy (a thin 24 year old) then kept my money and sent me on my way. I tried for many months to have them send me the imaging and planning so that I could take to another dentist and they refused to provide them. I paid 3 grand and they wouldn't even show me the work they had supposedly done, let alone provide me with a copy so that I didn't have to pay for it all over again with a new dentist. After several years I have finally saved up to start over with a new surgeon, I have just paid to have everything done all over again, and he + an independent orthodontist + an independent jaw surgeon agree and are planning my upcoming surgery to fix what they all agree is an obviously obstructed airway, misaligned bite, asymmetrical jaw, etc etc etc.

Shockingly rude, incompetent and actually quite vicious surgeon and team at Profilo Surgical.

I am based in the UK and scheduled a half an hour Skype consultation with Paul Coceancig. The receptionist did the time difference calculation for me and I confirmed it by email. Turns out she did it wrong, but the team were still around and said they were happy to have the consultation at the time I believed it was to be.

We began talking and that's where the problems started. Coceancig has the manner of a real Antipodean thug. I began asking questions about the photos of myself I sent him and he said "this is not a consultation, you are paying for my time". (That's weird as I've had lots of Skype consultations with surgeons around the world). Err ok, so I said 'can you tell me about IMDO please? ' "sorry, IMDO would be totally wrong for you". "OK that's weird because there is a Chinese guy who is in a lot of your promotional material who had the kind of results I wanted' He then became extremely defensive: 'We do NOT produce promotional material. I don't know who you are talking about, we treat Chinese guys all the time".

It wasn't just his words, it was also his combative, aggressive and smirking manner than were so shocking. *smirk smirk* 'so what am I supposed to do with these photoshopped pictures of yourself you have sent' kind of thing. Then he started going on about my getting the time of the consultation wrong even though it had been his receptionists fault and even though he had said earlier 'don't worry about it'. After about ten minutes he said: 'We're going nowhere, we can end this conversation now'. Given I had paid $250 Australian, I was shocked. "Then I want my flipping money back'. At that point he cut me off. I was waiting for him to call me back but he never did.

I will be writing to the Australian boards or seeking my money back in small claims. This guy is a fraud and has stolen money from me which I WILL get back.

Worst of all, when I mentioned I had been treated extremely successfully by Mike and John Mew (brilliant and world famous orthodontists) he said with belittling sarcasm: 'oh yeah those guys who are selling a fallacy who think they can change things with their little appliances. '

I am so glad I recorded the conversation with this guy. The comment about the cutting-edge, life-changing Mews is the most dangerous red flag a surgeon could possibly give, suggests he is working on the back of rote training, with a narrow mind and a low consciousness. Do not be fooled by his glossy, Beverly Hills-style promotional material and steer clear of him. He isn't doing anything any other surgeon is doing and you'll receive far less care than you will from them.

Came here to have a general checkup and cleaning. Front desk was nice and even gave me freebies since I'm a new patient. The whole thing was fast and the best thing about it is they accept HMF and with no-gaps. So I basically didn't have to pay anything. 10/10 would recommend.

I visited today and was so impressed with the service I received. They have the latest accurate digital imaging technology (no need for old fashioned impressions) and Dr Vishnu Varma has the best bedside manner I have ever experienced from a dentist. The receptionist was very lovely too.
