Potters Apartments reviews
40 This place is good enough if staying for a night or two.
Don’t expect anything too flashy and you will be comfortable. Yes it is outdated and could do with a facelift.
But, felt safe enough and located about 10 mins from some wineries and Hunter Valley Gardens.
Had an enjoyable stay here. The rooms were good value, large, the hot water was hot and the beds comfortable. All minimums met, plus we had an outdoor area to sit and relax in. Its not a 5 star hotel but its does what it does very well for a good price. Will definitely be back.
Enjoyed our stay here. Location is perfect, close to all the wineries, chocolate factory & the main town isn’t too far. The room was so spacious, comfortable bed & our room also had an outdoor picnic table. We’ll be back again for sure!
The two 2 bed room villa we stayed in was spacious and clean, worked great for four adults and two toddlers. The complex has great facilities including pools for those hot days.
Ps parents.it was super handy to have a brewery on the grounds. Sneaking off for a brew
Very happy with the overnight stay. Good and friendly customer service and ideal location for a cost effective stay close to both Cessnock and the Hunter Valley wineries
For the price, this place is a real gem! It was a neat and tidy little studio room with a lovely little garden out back with picnic table. Shower and bath in a good sized bathroom.
We were situated very close to the pools, which were very clean and clear. Tennis courts and pools on location and footpaths for the kids to scooter to pool and back made for some extra fun.
The Mighty wasn't opened on Tuesday but we got to eat there on the Wed and the kids had loads of fun in the cubby house and talking a walk around the little duck pond.
My only comment would be that the mattresses were quite stiff but we were really happy with the rest for the price and will love to return when mattresses are updated
The rooms are older but very clean and very comfortable. My 7yo who never sleeps in slept until 8.30am (bed was that comfortable apparently) and both kids love coming back each and every time. It is their favourite place to stay in the Hunter.
Worse than a motel. Cockroach on pillow, stains on bed head and everywhere, outdated, Kids playground demolished. False advertising. Over priced. I could go on and on.
Room fine, but shower pressure poor and air con just worked. This was our experience but others in our group were fine. Room 19.
Clean rooms, friendly staff and only 8km from Roache. Good value compared to what's around. We'll be back.
It's very reasonable priced for the area.
The owner was really on top of any issues.
Would recommend and would stay again
Really sensing the privilege on some of these reviews. There is nothing wrong with this place. Big rooms, clean, good location, comfy bed. No thrills no spills. Thanks
No WiFi (should be fixed tomorrow), no food (restaurant not ours) pub uninhabited. Don't go on Mondays or Tuesdays.
I will definitely not be back. Paid for a spa room and some of the jets were either broken or dirty. No bath mat to stand on and my friend slipped and hurt her arm. The couch had a tear on one of the cushions and i wouldn’t say that the bed was all that comfortable. I expected a bit better considering the price. And maybe the cleaner’s should be cleaning everything in the place including the walls. Not a great experience and definitely won’t be back.
The room looked reasonably clean. The shower worked, the bed was comfy, but when I sat on the sofa with a cup of hot tea, a cochroach ran out from under the sofa between my bare feet. I jumped up, luckily didn't spill the hot tea on myself. I nearly freaked out.
DO NOT STAY HERE! It is deceiving nice from the outside but it ends there.
Was staying for 2 days on first night on entry noticed dated furbishings minimal essentials no clock no phone no lamp on partners side bugs hornets spiders over running the appartment.
Matress soooo hard we drove to get a foam topper. Second night moved to another room was better but still poor shower so hard could not stand still and the surrounding ponds stinkkkk. Waste of money
The property is tired and outdated however, the accommodation is spacious and pleasant. There is no dining although a taven next door provides a somwhat limited menu. In room entertainment is limited to television with an extremely small number of channels available. Housekeeping is infrequent but can be undertaken on request. On the whole a little disappointing.
Awesome rooms, very clean, great location and wonderful staff.
Definitely will stay here again!
Great place to stay, as it is central to everything. However the apartments are getting tired and are in need of a revamp/renovation.
The room was big and it has it's own outdoor area with seating and is an easy stroll to the pub/bistr.
I had stayed here a few years back and loved the location to the pub and food.
I called to rebook.
Unfortunately I wasn't advised that the pub was closed or that I needed a $100 deposit on top of the rather pricey room.
The receptionist was unmasked.
The room is scarily dirty.
I'm not sure that the fridge is working (still waiting to cool my drinks down. I'd be in the pub but it's closed) All of the plates are dirty. A cochroach just crawled up the wall.
There is a hot chocolate packet in the tea/ coffee receptacle already open!
Food stains on the bench and the complimentary shower cap etc look already opened.
The rooms are extremely dated with a very uncomfortable bed.
I'm not game enough to go for a swim.
No one is answering at reception.
I'm out of here as soon as I wake up.
What a rip off.
Hopefully I won't catch covid as a parting gift.
