Port Stephens Visitor Information Centre reviews
22Ally & Naomi were exceptionally helpful they could not do more to help us. We booked a whale watching boat cruise which was a wonderful experience. Probably the best tourist info in Australia. The shop has lots of local craft and books aswell as hats and sunglasses
Great for souvenirs and has plenty of information for travel all over the area. Gave us some great spots to go to.
Lovely staff, and a great place to pick up a souvenir and local information on things to do and see. Definitely recommend a pop in.
Great information center. We found this place be full of useful information, gifts, and snacks.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was impecible.
Really happy with experience from buying a gift voucher last year to cashing it in for a couple of bookings through Port Stephens Visitors Information Centre. Both Ally and Naomi were incredibly knowledgable and made the process a breeze.
Very friendly staff with good knowledge. Was very helpful and resourceful. We were at port Stephens for a day and it was rainy so pay visit to information centre. They guided very well and informed about food, accommodation, and places to go. They were very keen to promote and support local.
OMG. The 2 ladies that helped me here and gave me information and leaflets etc basically set up my week. The knowledge and information they gave was OUTSTANDING and I can not thank them enough.
They deserve a pay rise they went above and beyond the call of duty, especially considering I turned up 10mins before closing.
This is the main centre for tourist info in the Port Stephens area. It’s a large building on the seafront near the marina in Port Nelson. We were pleased to see this place open when others in Newcastle were still closed to visitors.
Staff were Covid efficient and very helpful and informative. There’s loads of printed information available inside and the staff add value where they can. An extremely useful resource if you’re in the Port Stephens area.
The lady at the counter was great gave us heaps of destinations to see and go to. We always drop into the tourist info places where ever we go.
I like how you can hire a bike with a toddler seat. We had a 18 month old on it. He feel asleep within 30mins.
Very helpful staff. Lots of info for around the area. Good gift shop. Problem with limited car parking also very expensive for short stays.
VERY helpful staff. Offered excellent advice. Good location for premises with LOTS of parking opportunities.
Place was well stocked with brochures and tourist items
We picked out a few and have now booked for tomorrow!
Port Stephens should be on your bucket list.a fantastic area of the coast with many beautiful beaches and stunning landscape.
For Christmas my partner and I were giving a gift voucher for accommodation and went in to the info centre to redeem it.
The old women we got was not a helpful lady and a bit condescending.
She was not helpful or kind after a long process we had it all booked and left.
A couple of days later the person who have us the voucher got a phone call from the info centre and they ask if she was ok with these young people using her gift voucher which I feel is of a breach of privacy & trust.
Would not recommend the gift voucher or the customer service in the info centre.
Very helpful and friendly service. Staff are very knowledgeable and give directions that are easy to understand and follow.
Of the places you will not regret visiting especially if you love nature and simple cities it's a wonderful word sense I've fallen in love with it
Combine the sea, mountains and desert with an integrated range of magnificence as you can do several activities of the boat watching the dolphins can ride camel or safari quad.and many more wonderful hotels overlooking the sea
Or apartments for cooking in it shops close in.
Excellent source of information and guidance for those who are thoroughly lost or bewildered when in Port Stephens. Actually it's highly recommended even if you are in Townsville as it's a short drive and if you have a short chat with Kim or her twin sister, then you might even get an invite to the best "Port" in the place - their brothel - highly recommended
Nice friendly people giving all the information you may need for all recreational favorites. Located in the shopping area I would suggest you visit this place to see attractions you should see while visiting Port Stevens
