Pole Dance Academy reviews
11 The most magical place…
Back in the day I never thought I’d be signing up to pole classes but did a trial intro class with some friends and loved it, jumped straight in and it literally changed my life. Such a beautiful, wonderful community, have never had so much fun ‘exercising’, while learning and progressing so much each class and leaving each session with fulfilment and a renewed sense of determination.
It’s definitely a challenging sport but the gains in strength, coordination and ability each week are incredible (the surprise six pack was also unexpected).
You can also expect to gain a much needed boost in self acceptance/confidence - sweet riddance to any self doubt you previously held! Such an incredible physical endeavour + such a beautiful art form; the perfect juxtaposition of strength, grit, elegance and grace.
Each lesson was ridiculously fun, plus I was welcomed into a new family of beautiful, genuine, inspiring humans (the whole pole family is the absolute best and it all starts with the amazing founding sisters Maddie + Shimmy). I’ll be forever grateful to the PDA family.
I’ve been to several other studios since moving interstate + overseas, overall, I ONE ZILLION percent recommend Pole Dance Academy as the best of the best.
Love PDA Bondi Junction! The team is so friendly, so accommodating and so so quick to respond when I have questions or don't understand something. The teachers are also great, super positive and always happy to provide feedback and spend extra time on you when you need it.
I was at a different studio in the CBD and I can clearly see the difference between the two. At PDA Bondi Junction, there is such a great vibe, I always look forward to my classes.
Amazing instructors and I've had a class with pretty much all of them. Shimmy and Sparkle are fantastic businesswomen that are passionate and dedicated. There are great opportunities even outside of classes including free practice sessions, instructor training programs, workshops, online classes, pole wear and more. The studios are of the highest quality, often being updated and having lights and new features installed. As someone who has never had an interest in fitness, pole dancing has changed my life for the better and I'm so grateful for it. Thanks to all the team xx
Was so excited to start dancing at this place. However, the teaching fluctuates from unbelievably great (Ciggy, you are phenomenal) to disinterested. Because of the latter, disinterested instructor who flipped through manuals before telling us to do anything I developed a permanent injury to my shoulder that still gives me trouble 3 years later as the young 20-something 'instructor' did not take my age and level of fitness into account when telling me to do a move (unlike Ciggy who broke things down in steps. Hence why at the end of the class both myself and the other students were like 'Wow - Ciggy's classes are a whole other level of awesome! "). The young disinterested 'instructor' however was more than happy to push product which is maybe why when I politely approached management about the disparities in instruction, I was dismissed with comments like 'ALL our teachers are great'. No - not all. But the good ones are def good. Due to permanent injury, I cannot undertake pole classes ever again due to the negligence of that one younger teacher in her classes to the point where even washing my windows causes me pain and that physical therapy at the hospital could not rectify. With that said, a cute, accessible venue. And the American receptionist was super nice and friendly.
Such a warm, friendly, empowering environment! All of the teachers are fantastic, patient & so supportive!
I took two beginner classes which were so much fun! The instructor Cazz was lovely and very professional despite being injured in my second class. Would definitely recommend!
I started pole by accident and for sure I wouldn't keep up if it wasn't for the nice environment, super experienced and patient teachers and the amazing support by other students at PDA. This is my happy place!
Knowledgeable (and patient) instructors, fun and supportive environment and beautiful studio space. Lots of different classes to suit all levels.
Such a warm and friendly atmosphere. The teachers are lovely and immensely talented and all of the staff are super supportive. Fun environment!
This is a great place to come and just hang, really. The owners have created the friendliest and most supportive atmosphere - it's hard not to make new friends every time I turn up! Sometimes you'll come in and there'll be a dog to play with too.
They really specialise in the flexy long legs/hair flick style of pole, so if you're not into that this isn't the place for you (though if you come here, you'll probably grow long hair and get into it!).
Since my first pole dance class with Yvette I have become an absolute pole freak. All the teachers are friendly, fun, experienced and very very helpful! I would highly reccomend the pole dance acedemy to men and women of all ages! I can do things i never though i would be able to:)
