53 Excellent pub atmosphere!
We took our 15 year old daughter here for dinner. It was amazing. We tried the Irish Stew, the Beef, and Guinness Pie and a Salami Pizza.
It's definitely worth a visit. Try it for yourself.
Don't go there on a first date unless you don't want to talk. Yelling is common as it is SO loud, you have to yell to be heard. Like all Aussie restaurants we've been to, there is no table service, you order at the bar and they bring the food. Food was good and plentiful.
Kilkenny on tap, great selection of Irish whiskey and very glad they have Dingle Vodka. 10/10 Irish spirits selection and a great vibe.
It's close to work, so I come here often. You can enjoy food and pint-sized beers for $27.5 Monday-Friday. The Tuesday special I visited was Bolognese Linguine Pasta and Beer. It's really so delicious! If you want to eat tomato pasta, you must visit PJO! No kitchen break time. You can have a meal even during the awkward afternoon hours! Highly recommended!
Great Irish pub in the city. They have a live band on Sunday evening which was nice. Food is a bit pricey but drinks average price for a city venue.
On of the best Irish Bar I have ever visited. Such a lovely place and amazing vibe. They are known for their fresh Irish Brew (Kilkenny & Guinness). First time tasting Kilkenny which was so fresh and creamy. Really loved the taste and smoothness. Must try and highly recommended.
Ordered the scotch Steak and it was small or thin, chips over cooked that you taste oil only and salad that was soggy for $28. Would not eat here again just beer only.
Great vide and atmosphere. Irish pubs are the best pubs anywhere in the world but this is my favorite is Sydney.
The food is surprisingly good at this Irish pub! I really enjoyed my baked Atlantic Salmon. Nice that it is served with potatoes rather than chips. Hubby enjoyed his perfectly cooked steak too.
Ordinary place. Security not too bright. Asked me to leave on grounds of ‘intoxication’ because I put my glass down in the wrong place (a table they were moving and I didn’t realise). Asked to speak to manager and he simply backed up the security guard, claiming my ‘behaviour’ was a problem.
Super crowded. Better bars in the city.
One of the loudest pubs I have been to so many people all talking very loud great atmosphere. Came here on a Thursday night around 6 and it was full. Still easy to get a pint reasonable prices $9 pint of cooper pale ale. Staff very friendly and seamed happy. But the winner was the food I had a steak and Guinness pie with mash potatoes and mushy peas ($22). My partner had a toasted sandwich and soup ($12) both where great.
Best place ever
I love it
Amazing food and staff
Irish music
Love all
Thanks guys
We had dinner here today. Unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. My chicken curry was not hot so I asked for it to be heated up in the microwave. The lady did apologize. There was very little chicken in the curry and the chips were very salty. My partner really enjoyed his bangers and mash though!
Lovely Irish pub with a good looking menu with lots of Irish options!
I know this is a themed pub, but man they do it well. Great vibe, good drinks, predictable menu. Everything you want for after work drinks
I'm updating my review and knocking off a couple of stars. Went last Wednesday (19 May 21 - and after 6pm there's a live musician. As a muso myself, I have to say he was good, just way too LOUD! I don't mind loud music, in context, at a party, at a concert. But on a Wednesday night when I'm trying to catch up with friends for a drink, at least have a volume people can hear themselves in. That accounts for one star
The second star was really the food. We had buffalo wings, explicitly asked for as a starter. They were good but came after our meal, and the waitress was pretty unfriendly about it.
The nacho's on the otherhand were cold, stodgy, and lacked flavour. For once in a long time, I couldn't finish my meal.
[Update 26/5/21]
Adding back a star for the friendly and prompt reply to my latest review. Thanks guys. I certainly wasn't aware that this was a function, had I known we'd have come another evening.
Will definitely give you another go - after all Kilkenny FTW
Great location not far from the station, amazingly interesting behind the bar decor, classic Irish style look, and staff who know how to pour their Guinness perfect.
The Irish joyous spirit is strong here and it's still great for families, couples, sorrow drinkers, pub runners, and the youth (maybe not kids, it gets too crowded. But not due to small venue size, due to its deserved popularity)
The only downside is it could've used lounder music, and the pub community could've been a bit more Stanger Social (That I blame City Culture for not the bars though)
Look at that char grilled rib eye steak! Offttt cooked to medium rare perfection with a great mushroom sauce and delicious chips and pint!
Great Irish pub with great food and drinks and awesome staff. Very warm inviting wood and brass fit out, with a working fireplace for cool evenings.
Good selection of food available for a quick bite or full meal. Kid friendly with children allowed on premises with adults, and kids meals too.
A very lively, loud, friendly Irish style pub. Have seen live music there on a few occasions and the crowd is in to it. The drinks are reasonably priced. It is well styled and the decor is well thought out.
My favourite place to have beer! But they really need to do something about live music nights. Speakers are horrible, musicians are struggling, their volume is way too loud as there is no PA guy.
Very rude customer service. They ran out of Irish beer even though this is an Irish pub. I ordered another one and they didn’t even ask what size and just assumed I wanted a pint, not the standard skooner. Very abrupt service.
