Lovely little spot for a quiet meal. Have been a few times, it's a good date night option - good menu and great venue.

What a gorgeous gem to have in our neighbourhood. The food was authentically prepared, and delicious, as if in a Nona's Cucina. The service was very friendly and helpful in selecting our wine accompaniment. Such a lovely evening, in such a relaxed and cozy atmosphere. The sourdough bread: the best ever!

We preordered the set menu at $100 each (4 people). Despite being one of the few tables in the restaurant at that early booking time, the food took a long time arrive. On arrival they tried to charge us for a plate of olives (we’re spending $100 a head for food, maybe throw in a plate of appetiser olives?) then a few moments later our waiter tried to upscale the meal with a $99 T-bone steak. The last $100 set meal I had in Sydney included a A5 Wagyu that they didn’t try and pull on us last minute at the restaurant… If that’s not enough, they offered still or sparkling and didn’t even inform us there was an additional charge for BOTH options and we needed to specify TAP or we’d be billed $12. I asked for a cup of water and presumed it was tap and billed $12 after the meal. The food is okay at best, nowhere near the value they are charging. A starter of the menu is burrata, but it’s just on its own - we had a waiter ask, “do you want bread with that? ” And of course, we said yes - and when we got the bill… yep, $13 for 4 tiny slices. (Again, $100 a head - no bread) Overall, the value for money is not there with this place, when you spend $500 on a meal, you just expect a better overall experience. This felt like an upscale shakedown.

Dined at Pino's over the weekend with two friends for the first and LAST time.

Pino's offers good service and a nice atmosphere but be prepared to go home hungry (or fork out a small fortune for dinner) because the serving sizes are TINY!

The worst and unfortunately, most memorable dish of the night, was the pizzicheria (a plate of cheeses and cold meats, similar to a charcuterie plate).

You can order 2 selections for $32 or 4 selections for $64. There were 3 of us, so we selected two cheeses and two cold meats.

When the plate arrived, there was a finger of the hard cheese no thicker/longer than my index finger (literally), a small triangle of the soft cheese, a few slices of the cold meats we'd selected, some pickles, three slices of crispbread and a little dish of honey which didn't even have enough honey in it to fully coat the bottom!

It actually looked like they'd picked up someone's empty dish and put it on our plate!

The cheese and cold meats, once distributed, was barely enough for three mouthfuls each.

When we let the waitress know that we were not impressed with the pizzicheria, she explained that there is typically 30 grams of cheese and 40 - 50 grams of cold meats per selection. So at best, we had 160 grams of food on that plate.for $64!

Luckily, the rest of the meal was a little more substantial than the pizzicheria but at $90 each for food (excluding drinks), Pino's is definitely NOT value for money.

Stylish, chic and warm atmosphere with great attention to details! The bar has amazing selections of wine and cocktails (very friendly bar tender)! The food is amazing, on top quality (best tiramisu by far in Sydney out of Rome)! We will definitely come back!

This place is completely over priced, the bread was stale, the 'special' I had was packet pasta, mushy sauce and awful chopped fish and this was $60, I made the mistake of thinking of the pasta dishes would be aligned with the cost of the other dishes on the menu, ranging from $22 to $40. The waitress assumed we wanted the $12 still water bottle instead of just tap water. The decor and atmosphere is good, but it has been completely spoilt by the unspoken high costs for average Italian, I would never go back here again. What a fail, real Italian should be super fresh and using the best ingredients, at least make fresh pasta with those prices.

Went to Pino's for an dinner to celebrate the upcoming Christmas period with two friends. This place is great for a date night or special catch up. Beautiful, cozy, candle-lit interior plus seats outside, friendly and efficient service and a great range of tasty menu items that are clearly made with top quality ingredients. Loved chatting with the lady who works there and came to Australia 13 years ago from Italy. Will go again, bravi!

Overall, I think it is not worth the price and the food is a bit disappointing. The risotto was really salty and the steak is super tough. It is not the cooking problem but because the steak is alright at medium rare. It is the problem of the meat. They have definitely not select the best meat they could because it is tough…struggle to finish. This is really disappointed because we paid extra 99 for it. Also, don’t choose the $89 let the chef feeds you, because it is not fulfilling at all…it’s better just order yourself. Kind of feel scammed for the price.

A total gem of a place. The food, the ambiance and the staff are all outstanding. Most pleasant surprise in the most unexpected location.

Received great service along with great food and wine.
We called last minute for a table and was lucky enough to get a seat at the bar, where later when a table was free we were offered a seat.
Simple quality food with cheese and salami. The pasta was so nice and simple, I look forward to having it again.
Thank you!

Ambience and decor was excellent. Set a romantic tone for an upmarket date with my wife. The wine list is extensive. However, food was slightly bland, portions very small, and the menu is expensive for what you get. Overall fine but with a bit more love to the dishes, it could be great.

So far the best Italian in Sydney! From the minute that you arrive to the minute that you leave the service is impeccable. The food always surprises me! Last week I had a chard octopus that was amazing and I wish it was always at the menu (but they chance the menu sometimes). The place is super cute, romantic and cozy and the drinks are delicious too! Every friend that I take there ended up agreeing with me about Pinos being the best Italian and I love being right hahaha

We returned to Pino's on the weekend for the first time in a while. It was impeccable as always. Matteo is so warm and welcoming, and our waitress Shannon so accommodating. The highlight for me was the fish of the day (cod), and my partner enjoyed the spanner crab pasta and house made bread. Most seductive though is the romantic ambiance of the intimate setting. You must go!

My go to Italian restaurant. I’ve dined all over the world and this is by far the BEST Italian you will experience. Every anniversary, every memorable day, it has to be at Pinos! If you don’t love it, I’ll pay the entire bill!

We we're well looked after as soon as we walked through the doors. Thought it was a beautiful dim lit restaurant with a classy vibe. The host was very friendly and everything flowed smoothly. Had the nice bartender recommend a fruity cocktail and as expected, it was delightful. The food. I dont have much to say, it was excellent, very authentic and flavoursome! We cannot fault any of it. We will definitely be back when in Sydney! Thank you for the lovely evening)

Such a warm inviting restaurant that feels like an elevated version of visiting nonna's house!

The food was exceptionally delicious, the waitstaff hospitable, knowledgable & on the front foot in filling our water glasses (we didn't even notice), offering menus & giving recommendations for food/wine pairings.

The Tiramisu was the best I've tried in Sydney

Looking forward to coming again and bringing my Italian family!
