Phoodle Eatery reviews
42A good place to have lunch if you want Vietnamese food. It's just a few minutes walk from UNSW campus. Definitely try their Vietnamese coffee
We were confused about their opening hours because on some other sites (e.g. Zomato) it showed that they were open weekends. When we called them they said that they are open weekends and even let us make a reservation for dinner on a saturday. When we got there it was closed I just don’t know how that could’ve happened ️
Great and delicious food. The store is very pretty and service is quick. The best Vietnamese place in the area.
Poor customer service
Ordered at 6.30pm.
Got confirmation then in 45mins later, my order was cancelled.
Eventhough they said last order is 7.30 and they close at 8pm.
What a lazy business. Try to close early and cancel order last minute. Make me wait 45mins
Shame shame shame.
No bang for the buck! Literally got any meat in the noodle soup. Chicken and rice had the chicken very dry. There are better restaurants around that you may want to try instead.
17Aug2018,12: 20PM. The service is good and they have free lemonmint water. Near the entrance, grab a plastic cup nearby and serve yourself. I've been here 3 times and had a good experience on two occasions. Today however, wasn't too great. The beef stew had beef cubes with a lot of fat on them (cubes were ~15% fat, which felt very noticeable). I also think 16$ was too much for the size of the portion. (See photo). Many people love the tomato rice crispy chicken. Try it if you go there. No split bill, which is annoying.
1-Mar-2019, Friday ~1PM. It was a bit busy they found a table for our group of 5 right away. Regarding the grilled chicken sticky rice, I personally wasn't a great fan. For 15$ you get 5% vegetables, 40% soy saucy oily chicken (not close to my definition of grilled, 55% fried oily sugary rice that will take you 15 min to get it unstuck from you teeth. A friend got the lemongrass something chicken and it looked great. Getting that next time.
11Dec2020 lemongrass chilli chicken tomato rice is good, but I'll try maybe the grilled chicken next time.
Turns out lemongrass chicken has too much soy sauce.
Taste was used to be good. But I suspect the restuarant has the owner changed becuase the noodle soup is extremly salty (you can feel it from the colour of the soup). My freind ordered the vermicilli salad and it tasted very sweet.
The ambience and setting is nice! Huge improvement in their quality and taste of Pho. Very lovely place for dinner with friends.
Fairly large menu to choose from with quite an authentic taste.
Popped in for a cheeky dinner and was presented with a beautifully designed restaurant that definitely set the mood right, along with good food and service.
We were initially greeted by the staff who was right in the front of the store, and it looked sort of like a bar/cafe stand, but it turned out to be the place to order. Its efficient for takeaway orders thats for sure. The staff there was doing her best and was very sweet to us, and accommodated us fairly well.
We had ordered 2 bowls of pho in the largest size, a side of salt and pepper calamari, and a can of coke. The pho size was definitely a mistake we made, as we thought it wouldnt have been so big, but it is absolutely massive. Its probably a meal for 2 people, and unfortunately my partner couldnt finish it due to its sheer MASS. The calamari and beansprouts arrived first, and the calamari was very tasty. It was probably a bit too salty but it was very much to my liking. It was practically gone within a minute of arrival. The pho arrived soon after, and when they presented us with these massive bowls we knew we made a mistake. However, the bowl was very full with its broth and it made the noodles seem very little in comparison. Nonetheless, it still tasted really good, and though it might be due to me not having that much pho in my life, but it was a good experience for somebody like me.
Would definitely pop in again, and will definitely remember to pick the normal size!
Delicious food with very friendly staff. We were seated pretty quickly. It’s a small place, but the food is wonderful, tasty and hot. Will definitely be back!
They’re also very helpful if you wish to take some home (because it’s almost certain you won’t be able to finish it!) and will happily supply you with a takeaway bowl, a lid and a bag.
Not sure if the chef changed or the kitchen was off that day, but our food was very very mediocre. My crispy skin pork belly was so dry and stale I didn’t eat it. They also used low quality rice that was half the size of normal rice and tasted accordingly.
Slightly slow service. Poor communication skills. Decent food, but taste can be better. Wide varieties of food choices, but the flavours are really average.
Clean shop, decent price. However the flavour of the soup is somewhat bland compare to most other pho places.
One of my favorite places to eat in Sydney! Great service, great atmosphere and amazing food. I can eat their Papaya and Prawn salad for days. It's super delicious. I recently came across another dish which has Spicy chicken and fried rice. Wow, simply wow!
I recommend this place to everyone visiting Anzac Parade for a meal.
Never give out 5 stars, a returning customer! Love the pho, love the deep fried rice paper rolls (get the pork ones if you are a carnivore!)
Been there over 3 years. Boss is nice and food is good. I normally use points for coffee and order a regular meal. Various options and good quality foods
Their Bun/noodle salad (pronounce Boong) was quite good with decent marinated pork. However, the noodle soup was sweet, almost like having a less-sugar-dessert?
Love this place. Very yummy and very authentic. Great amount of food for the price. Always walk away very satisfied.
Decent Vietnamese food for the area. I grew up eating authentic Vietnamese food both at home and out west (Bankstown and Cabramatta) and, for the area, this place is not bad (although the Viet iced coffee is a bit overpriced considering half of it is crushed ice).
Service was a bit slow despite empty restaurant, and above that, they messed up my order! But they came back to correct it, and the actual food was really nice.
