I live 6 hours down the coast so had to do a lot of the work via phone and email. The whole team was very helpful and did all they could to make it work for me. When I came to inspect the car and finalise everyone was so friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem and everything was clearly explained to me. Even though I was buying a used vehicle they made me feel like a valued customer and made the experience exciting (adding a bow to the bonnet and taking my photo etc). Haven't had that before and it was really special.

I called to make a complaint, with no result. The guy from this place then kept calling me with no stops to argue with me. Ridiculous.

Integrity and written contracts don’t mean anything to this dealership. Ordered a car, waited a year, only to have the price increased by 11% and then another $800 when changing names to a business. Furthermore, didn’t even mentioned the additional price increase, just updated the invoice and sent it to the finance broker. This was the third car in 2.5 years we had purchased from this dealer with plans to buy many more for businesses and family members over the coming years until this occurred. **************************************** Since I can't respond to your response, I've written it below. We did purchase the vehicle however it was in another entity name.

I generally am very suspicious about 'used car salesmen/women', however, after finding and buying my Nissan X-trail with the team at Phil Gilbert Toyota Croydon - I will always come back for future cars and also refer my family and friends to the team here.
Service; Without a doubt, the service here is both professional and ethical, everything I was promised, I received. If I was promised delivery of my car on the Thursday Phil (aka Lucky) made sure that I got my wish.
Value for money; With all of the 'extras' I purchased, and the discounts I got, I believe I got over and above - value for money'.
Friendliness; The team here at the Croydon branch are people I consider to be my friends, their level of friendliness, genuine caring for the public coming into their car yard is above most car yard services.
X-factor; Throughout the purchase of my vehicle, the caring service of 'Yana and Lucky and Jonathan were always on-point and were ethical. They did not promise the earth, and deliver nothing. As a matter of fact, they were upfront and informative and ensured I fully understood what I was getting at every step. As a woman, who knows nothing about cars - this is the reason I rate them a five out of five.

Friendly, kind, patient, explained everything in a simple way to understand. Very professional and quick but efficient to get everything done in a short time. I recently purchased a car from this company, and I must say, I am disappointed with the overall experience.

During the initial sales process, I was assured that the car would be detailed and that the hail damage would be fixed prior to collecting. With these assurances in mind, I eagerly awaited my new vehicle. However, much to my dismay, upon receiving the car, I discovered that neither the promised detailing nor the hail damage repair had been carried out.

To add insult to injury, their proposed solution to rectify the situation was utterly inconvenient and unhelpful. I was informed that I would need to return the car to the dealer for the detailing and repairs to be done however, the dealer was located over an hour away from my location. Not only is this an immense inconvenience, but it's also completely unjustified considering that the issues were their responsibility, not mine.

Proceed with caution, as it appears that their promises are empty and their commitment to customer service is lacking.

I have nothing but good things to say about my entire buying experience at Phil Gilbert Toyota Croydon. From the very beginning, Peter was amazing to deal with - knowledgeable, helpful, accurate, detailed, managed my expectations and provided me with all of the information I was seeking. Likewise my dealings with Christina on the Finance side, were fantastic. I had tonnes of questions for both Peter and Christina, and they answered all of them - even the dumb ones. I wholeheartedly endorse and recommend dealing with Peter and Christina, and Toyota is so lucky to have both of them! Many many thanks.

We dealt with Charlie while buying our Rav 4 cruiser and he made the process of buying our car seamless and kept us updated up until the delivery of car. The excitement he shared for us made it a really enjoyable experience!

We bought a hyundai i20 for a very good price, lower than the other car dealers. Customer service is very good. The finance was approved soon and we were able to collect the car within a week. Inspection report was provided and the car was in a very good condition.

Another terrific experience from Phil Gilbert Toyota. As always Peter offered great service and was able to supply my new car quicker than any other Toyota Dealer which I really appreciate. Thanks again!

The dealership person Charlie did not provide a good service for me. He didn’t mention that I needed to pay my car settlement first before picking up the car and the other dealership person eddy said that he communicated well with that response but was not told about that. When my sister brought my car home on the day she picked up the car, she noticed that there were some scratches on the gear stick of my car. She emailed eddy about this but haven’t heard from him since the day we picked up the vehicle.

I highly recommend Hong and his service. Thank you very much for going above and beyond on sourcing my car. Where other dealerships have quoted 8-12 months, Hong worked his magic and I received my car in less than a month. Hong was very honest, kind and a pleasure to deal with, and I will be recommending him to my friends and family. Thanks again, Hong!

Went in today with my Friend looking to get a car for him, as due to market issue the car he wanted wasn’t available brand new so we went to your used car dealer next to showroom, the sales person took long time to notice us, and when he did he already had in mind that we were looking for a cheap car, “ buddy we didn’t even told you about what budget we were going for and you judged us and told us that lowest option kia was best for us because it’s cheap? ! ” I was also interested in Merc A250 (BLACK) they had there but he completely ignored my questions when asked about the price, had to ask several times to check if it’s available which he answered yes. But also added how many cars you want to buy? , mate if you were a good sales guy probably was looking at 2-3cars to buy. He didn’t bother introducing himself first so don’t know his name, which is lack of professionalism. He was wearing a blue hat.

So, please have a professional staff around who are enthusiasts about selling cars and treating customers well.
