Peterson House - Hunter Valley Winery

Went there for lunch. Lovely venue, friendly staff. However the food was terrible and overpriced. The only vegetarian meal they had was stuffed pumpkin; it was dry and tasteless, the stuffing was dry too. The only desert without gelatine was an apple sorbet that was only sweet but did not have much flavor. The other people in my group ate fish and almost everyone left a piece on their plate as it was too dry as well. I would not go back there.

Peterson House is a beautiful spot for lunch. The staff were fabulous.

Flynn, our waiter, deserves a pay rise! His professional demeanor and caring personality shone through and made our Mums 70th a truly wonderful experience.

Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff. In particular, Flynn had a smile on his face the entire time, he is an attribute to Peterson House.

Visited Peterson’s Champagne House for brekkie in preparation for the 80s party. Enjoyed it so much we went back this morning. I was surprised with a glass of birthday champagne! Staff are super friendly and helpful, coffee great and food portions really generous. Highly recommend including it on your itinerary.

The food was good and the service and the glass of the pink blush sparkling wine. However, it is not worth the price/value. We came for a champagne breakfast and I have to say it was disappointing. Hubby basically had a big breakfast with bacon plus champagne and that was $33 (this was the best value). I had the Mexican Benedict with pulled pork, 2 poached eggs, salsa and a slice of bread ($30), with a glass of pink blush ($12) this was $42. It tasted good but I was still hungry! And I'm a small person. 5ft petite. Our niece had a Nutella crepe ($22) plush pink blush ($12) and she was not satisfied. We had to do cheese and wine tasting after breakfast to satisfy ourselves. I have no idea what happened. I remember coming here a few years back and the place was buzzing. The champagne breakfast set them apart. It was a treat. Now, I wouldn't recommend it nor come here again. I felt bad because I was raving about it to my niece and it was a let down. They should've really included the bubbly with the breakfast for that price. This place was the only let down of all the places we visited in the HV.

The most amazing place to visit in the Hunter! The best service, food + wine. The staff are incredible and so helpful and friendly - Flynn even remembered our group from previous years!

Came here for wine tasting and Zac is so welcomed us and explained us different type of sparkling wines. Surrounding is serene, beautiful vineyard just behind you.

Excellent location and beautiful setting, the food was well-presented and delicious! Very friendly staff looked after our family, best kids meals with creative choices for toppings on the ice cream. Thanks for a perfect lunch experience.

We arrived 30 minutes late, our mistake, but they were able to accommodate a table of 6 without any fuss on a busy Sunday morning. Impressive, professional and friendly service. Our odd orders were taken with no fuss, nothing was too difficult. And the 6 meals were enjoyed by all including the pickiest. We were so impressed with the service, food and the ambience of the lovely outdoor area. We will be back!

Was a lovely experience and I have to shout put our server Zac! He was very knowledgeable on everything and was very pleasant on his conversations. Highly recommend checking this place out if you haven't yet!

A beautiful morning, a great atmosphere, attentive staff and a delicious breakfast. It does not get any better than Cuvee. We cannot wait to go back.

We had a great experience at Restaurant Cuvee yesterday. We were very impressed by the menu which had an excellent choice. The food was very tasty and well presented. The only slight criticism was a delay in receiving our 2nd round drinks. Otherwise would recommend a visit

The service standards here are woeful. Tried to book a tasting on line. Their Web journey hangs up at payment but takes a $0 transaction with no f.orm of confirmation. Tried to ring to see if the booking had been made Their phone system is even worst. Either message bank is full or a run around before message bank is full. Talk about making it hard to give them money. It impossible to talk to an actual person. Gave up as there are plenty of other customer centric places to go.

We had an absolutely lovely lunch here the other day. We loved the food, wine and grounds so much we ended up booking it for our Wedding! The staff are lovely, helpful and attentive. We definitely recommend it!

It was awkward experience. We felt the girls don’t want to serve us when we were ready for wine tasting. So we left. Hope the manager can see this review.
