Peking Palace Chinese Takeaway reviews
29What a wonderful night we had. Beautiful food. Great atmosphere. The owners were fun and friendly. An intimate gem of a place. Lucky we made a booking. Very popular with take away and menu log coming often.
We have enjoyed meals with friends. The food is authentic and amazing. The owners are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is intimate and fun. Bookings essential as it is popular with the locals.
This place was really really good! Probably the best Chinese food I had in Australia! The Chicken lemon was crispy tender and yummy! Big portion. Highly recommended
You have to try these guys. Lovely young couple. Beautiful food.i just had the best Sweet and Sour Pork with Chile i have ever had.well done guys. Keep up the great work. Matt & Kristal
Hidden away down an arcade alley, but definitely worth going out of your way to find the Peking Palace Chinese Restaurant.
We had Pork Spring Rolls, Satay Chicken and Mongolian Beef with Fried rice. Too much for the 2 of us to finish. Good size (large) servings.
The Chicken was tender and the satay was not dry but also not sloppy. Really good.
The Mongolian was good but not as excellent as the Satay.
The Spring Rolls were large and very tasty but not spicy.
Highly recommended.
H we have been coming here for many many years and am so sad to say we’ve tried it recently several times since new owners and are so disappointed, we ordered honey chicken which was dry, hardly any honey/sauce, mongolian beef which had a strange unpleasant aftertaste, special fried rice which seemed to be missing vegetables and very little flavour, sweet and sour pork was grissly, the meat used to be tender and no grissle, the wontongs/dumplings were dry and the crispy ones were small very dry/terrible, after spending nearly $100, was so disappointed, it all tasted like it was thrown together quickly with little care in flavour or quality of product.we have tried a couple of times since change of owners, even though service was friendly am so sorry but doubt we’ll ever be back. Also used to get prawn chips thrown in when we spent a large amount, but new owners never have.
Great food at reasonable prices, but only if you go direct! Ordering via an app is A LOT more expensive, be warned!
Also they ran out of prawn chips on the night we went which was a shame.
While heading down from the Gold Coast, I did a quick search for Chinese food, Peking Palace came up with the most highest ratings, so husband and I decided to give it a try.
Everything tasted so good! Clean and tasty! Nothing overpowering in flavour or too heavy. We ordered green beans, slow cooked braised pork, salt and pepper prawns, and stir fry rice noodles with beef.
The couple who run the restaurant are so kind and happy to accommodate if anything is wrong, given you speak up. Not that there would or was anything wrong!
Will be our future pit stop for a feed when going up or down from the Gold Coast!
I was very disappointed in the whole experience we ordered 6 mini spring rolls and had to be asked what filling we wanted to have in them then we ordered san choi bow which was filled with frozen vegetables and the meat was just mince cooked I ordered short soup which was alright but overall very disappointing wouldn't recommend anyone going there then when paying the bill was charged 50 cents surcharge which was not advised
Fresh, vibrant, humble. I love it. And the best Singapore noodles I’ve had in 20 years (not pictured) … Not swimming in curry powder, and simply amazing. Thank you!
Best food & friendly people I've met very thankful and appreciate their food and services
We had the beef and veggies and lemon chicken and were pretty disappointed. It should have been called veggies with beef as there was barely any beef in the dish. The portions were super small for the price you paid and not even including rice for which they charged us 5.90$. Wouldn’t recommend the place
This place is a pleasant surprise nice genuine Chinese food plentiful served promptly. You wouldn’t go for the atmosphere but I strongly recommend it as take away
We dined in at the Peking Palace and found the meals to be generous and tasted wonderful. We would definitely recommend the food here. Our meals were a prawn omelette, sweet and sour pork and fillet steak with black pepper.again one of the nicest places for chinese.thank you
We absolutely love the food at Peking Palace, with friendly service and even our children love the food as they are always happy to make any spicy dishes mild so we all can enjoy the food.
Its hard to find a Chinese restaurant these days that provide exactly what I like. These guys do! The food is delicious and they have gluten free options.
Nice small Chinese takeaway shop. There is also a small amount of seating available at the shop. Good size dishes at a reasonable price.
The restaurant is small and in a lane way don’t be put off. The food was amazing big serves for the price. The honey chicken was the best we have ever had. Great family ran business very friendly and polite would definitely come back next time in Coffs
The best chinese restaurant on the coffs coast.if you think you have found better, please let me know!
Great tasting and genuine Chinese (Cantonese style) food. Generous serving also. All the dishes below were nice.
