Peach Audio reviews
12I had an guitar amp blow up on me at rehearsal over the weekend and he had it working in under a week. Really enjoyed the service and now I have a working amp!
Dave Peach has been my local tech and audio mastermind for many years now. I've been bringing my gear to Dave for around 6 years and he never disappoints and he has built me many custom designs that just sound miles better than the competition, they work flawlessly and if I ever need help with anything I take it locally to him regardless of whether he built it he will fix it and make it better than before.
The Savannah preamp (his own design) is incredible and hands-down the best preamp I have used and I've tried them all, believe me!
Dave is a one man shop with a huge workload always in demand, and I would keep this in mind if you're just looking for a generic factory line experience.
Dave is the best, no doubt.
Ignore the negative reviews! David- 1st time customer- just fixed my guitar amp head in under a week. Will be using him again if required.
Did a great job bringing my vintage Quad 2 power amps and preamp back up to spec and sounding great. The place to go for high end audio repairs and mods.
Slow and massively overpriced. Avoid this guy at all costs if you have high end audio equipment. He will stall and overcharge you ridiculously. I got the same $1000 + issue fixed from a reputable audiophile repairer for a third of the price. If I could rate it a zero I would.
Have taken several amps to David. He has always done a good job. He nailed an annoying intermittent fault in my Urei compressor as well. No hesitation in recommending.
My Peach audio M196sx stereo preamp is quite the toy! Not only is it aesthetically pleasing inside & out, it is sonically pristine. The I/O options can be approached in a standard recording manner, but I have found I can 'flex' them in a more creative manner than I can with my other racks. Nice!
I have a reasonably good ear, but I have little tolerance (& knowledge) for learning hardware or software quirks. That said, I can immediately dial in a good sound with this pre without knowing too much about what I am doing & why it works (basically I am a home studio hack).)
The price-point is definitely favourable considering the sonic quality & pliability of this unit. The robustness & quality of the build (pop the top & take a look) sets my mind at ease (I.e. Reliability).
David is a very amicable guy & definitely knows his stuff. He can talk to me like I know nothing about electronics - which is refreshing.
In all, a killer box for what I am using it for (vocals, acoustic guitars, master track re-amping [or busing], & effects pedal-side chaining). Definitely a keeper.

I have a good quality multitrack digital recorder - but it was giving me some serious problems - I collected it today from Peach Audio, and it's as if the machine was brand new - haven't put it through all its paces just yet, but it looks to be as good as the day I got it. David seems to know his stuff pretty well. A happy customer!
Despite his reputation, Dave Peach is essentially no better than a dodgy mechanic. He takes a looong time with repairs on amps, doesn't fix the issue properly, tries to get more money out of you at every stage. I am not the only one to experience this either. He also tries to dodge giving receipts so he can avoid paying tax (I assume). Not recommended!
Whether you have Vintage or modern gear I would highly recommend David for ANY services or repairs. Fantastic work every time. Apparently his own brand preamps are brilliant as well but I haven't tried one.yet.
