The Verbal abuse, or any type of mis-treatment of woman and children is not okay.
-NOT OKAY IN THE HOME ENVIRONMENT.
-NOT OKAY IN THE WORKPLACE.
-NOT OKAY IN THE 'SAFE' ENVIRONMENT OF THE PCYC.

The alleged verbal abuse by the likes of a paid employee of the PCYC towards a woman and her toddler is never okay.

A procession of witnesses have retold the event how they recall them, but no-one spoke out or acted effectively in the moment.

IT SEEMS SIMPLISTIC TO SAY THAT WOMAN AND CHILDREN'S PROTECTION SHOULD BE EVERYONE'S BUSINESS.

A staff member did go to the woman's aid to help her exit the building.
It seemed a gesture of helpless kindness by a good, gentle man - but wasn't it misdirected?

This incident demonstrates the lack of energy displayed by the PCYC to safe guard woman and children.

I worry about the apparent gate-keeping.

I’m sadden to read this experience.
Yes sometimes situations happen which could have been dealt with differently. But we are all human. I don’t know exactly what happened in this particular one, what I do know for sure is that I am a regularly user along with my kids and extended family of this centre and have not once experienced a negative one.

The staff there are professional, happy and engaging. I’ve always felt extremely safe there and are happy for my kids to attend anytime they wish. The police officer there who unfortunately don’t know her name has the most infectious smile and has gone out of her way to help me and my kids with the smallest things. Even one day dancing with my eldest because a song was being played he liked. Another time she walked me to the car because it was raining and I had my baby in my arms with no umbrella. That there is what life is about and we need more people like this woman. My kids now want to be a police officer because of her. Little does she know her impact.

I would imagine the situation is being dealt with and investigated so I think it’s best we let them do their jobs. I do hope this matter gets sorted and the centre continues on doing great things with the community.

I am writing this review to address a current issue being discussed about. I was an eye witness at the scene with Marven and have worked for over 6 years alongside Marven dealing with kids across several PCYC's in NSW.

And the fact of the matter is this.the reviews you are seeing are a complete and false portrayal of Marven. First and foremost, he did not lay any physical contact to the lady and the tone in which he asked the lady to leave has been severely exaggerated. Please keep in mind that the lady that wrote the review aggravated Marven by saying "SAY IT LOUDER, SAY IT LOUDER" several times, which escalated the situation much more.

PCYC has video footage of kids screaming their lungs out because they are having that much fun in Marvens class. When Marven is sick and unable to attend the class all the kids approach me asking the same question "Where is Marven? ! Is he coming today". Mind you he is approached always by the youth on a consistent basis, and is seen as a "counsellor" and role model type figure.

Everybody has an off day at work, where they could have approached the situation slightly better. I guarantee all those that wrote reviews have add least once approach a situation poorly due to the state of the mood.

So before you all assume Marvens ability, judge him, or question his state of mental health, always understands their are 2 sides to a story. The reviews you see are a complete false depiction of who Marven is as a character and his personality. Before you decide to write a review because somebody told you too, have a look at the atmosphere in one of Marvens classes and I guarantee you'll have second thoughts of writing it.

The staff there are extremely helpful and attentive. Specifically I found Jordan to be exceptionally helpful in handling all relevant matters in regards to information about the club. Would highly recommend this PCYC to anyone who was interested in joining up. 5/5

I love this place it was really cool and I love sport.
The staff was amazing and it lets you chose what to play

The facility is poorly managed by PCYC. The toilets are very dirty, disgusting and unhygienic! The scoreboard doesn't work and PCYC doesn't provide a safe and compliant facility. The staff are lazy, they sit behind the desk watching YouTube. Urgently needs new management!

I love Marrickville P. C. Y. C.but if they don't start cleaning the floors then what's the point? You can't play/ train on dusty, slippery floors. A real shame. It used to be awesome funnily enough before the new profit orientated direction.

Cheap price to hide a court for an hour. In the night time they may let you play more for free if no one else hide it.
