Plumber came to unblock sink and shower. Was on site less than 20 minutes, did not advise on the cost of the job - just proceeded to unblock the drain. $482 for the privilege. Very arrogant and dismissive plumber when I asked for a breakdown of the cost and the rationale for such an extortionate cost. Again, I was not provided a quote. I would NOT recommend at all.

Will be advising my building manager also to not recommend this company to other residents. Just feel ripped off.

Sherwyn provided a great service and expert advice. Charges are transparent and no suprise additional cost. Most importantly quick and friendly serivces. Strongly recommended PAV for everyone

If you need an emergency plumber on the North Shore I would recommend PAV.

I had a burst hose in my bathroom in the middle of the night (1.30am) after ringing 6 so-called 24 hour emergency plumbers in the Mosman area with not one of them answering, I called PAV, they answered immediately and had someone at my place within 30 minutes.

I cannot thank them enough. Matt who attended was fantastic fixed the problem quickly (especially as he had to get up at 3.00am in the morning). After he fixed the burst hose he proceeded to actually mop up all the water off the floorboards in the lounge room, which I did not expect, but really appreciated.

So thank you PAV, I have recommended you to my real estate agent and Strata committee for my building.

Inefficient disappointing service. Apparently computer issues means waiting around for 1-2 hours for the plumber to talk to his management for a quote just to replace a very standard caroma toilet inlet valve. (don't bother writing a response saying "computer issues" a computer isn't needed to quote a simple job, and certainly isn't required to replace an inlet valve).

Got quoted an amount that is shocking: $1380 plus GST to replace an inlet valve (for reference the parts cost $30 for OEM inlet valve and $10 for a quarter valve and these are standard plumbing parts, plug and play with some plumbers tape). When I told them this they lowered it to $1190 on the spot but that's still a hard pass. /And/ they tried to charge me $140 for just the quote I declined and my inconvenience waiting around for their computer issues and to have chats with management on an extremely basic job! I've put in a complaint to ACCC and to the plumbers association.

I don't know the deal with the positive reviews here, that's why I gave these guys a try, and I'm looking to help others avoid a potential miss. There are better plumbers keep looking. These guys go by killara or pav plumbing, avoid both to be safe.

Update: I just got it done by another licensed plumber for under $400 with parts included

Update #2: For full disclosure the final invoice was $494.87 including GST. However, the other plumber (NOT pav/killara) also did a full reseat and replace of the washers for a tap in another bathroom within that total. And completed all in a couple hours including a trip to the trade store for parts.

We had our bbq converted from natural gas to LPG by Ryan today. He called ahead of time to let me know his arrival time. Was on time, polite, kept me informed of what he was doing and upfront about the price. Ryan even talked me through some tips on operating the BBQ! Great service and quick turnaround. Highly recommend.

Matt came in today & offered professional advice & service. He did an outstanding job in a timely fashion. The quality of his work and genuine care was duly noted.

The service received from Matt was very professional, prompt, informative and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble! The flooding we experienced was actually caused by a dislodged rubber pipe in the washing machine! Matt can know had appliance technician to his CV!

I am beyond happy with the service provided today from Ryan. He arrived on time, extremely courteous and professional. Ryan was also able to identify some proactive repairs to avoid potential issues for which I was extremely thankful. I previously used Pav Plumbing about 10 years ago. I appreciated the upfront pricing. There was a callout fee of $150. The quote to apply some silicone to fix a kitchen sink which had dropped and pour some chemicals down the drain was over $1100. I did not proceed. Sean who attended was very nice.

I used PAV Plumbing for the first time to repair an insinkerator. They were fantastic, the phone booking process was very easy and helpful, the plumber was on time, knowledgeable and was able to repair our insinkerator. Very happy with the service from start to finish. Would definitely use again.
