Parterre reviews
18Been around for many years now and still as good. Specialised garden furniture and pots, not for every garden. Good service.
Oh Parterre.
Been dying to go to this place for a long time. I must say, the place itself is absolutely beautiful, can't fault that. But here comes the food.
Ordered croissant with butter and Jam. A small bowl of jam arrives and there's mould growing. Flagged the waitress she was lovely, but said there must be bits of cream stuck though she will change it. It was definitely mould (See photo)
Then the mushroom dish comes out. On a glance all looks well. Then my mum was wondering what was bitter until she ate the mushroom on it's own. It was burnt, how do we know? Because you might as well eat your activated charcoal body scrub.
Flagged the waitress, she said it's meant to be like that, even after we stressed that it was bitter AND burnt. (See photo)
The upside
The coffee and tea were fine.
Would I go back? Probably for tea and coffee but not for the food. ⁹
Absolutely wonderful location, certainly one of Sydney's most charming cafes. Unfortunately $24 for a croque monsieur is not so charming.
Had a coffee and toast here. Must have the fruit toast with orange and chia. Started to rain when we were there but the staff were lovely and happy to move us all inside. The antique store is such a sweet place too, definitely worth checking it out
Great French style cafe. The food is delicious and there are many options for breakfast and lunch. Beautiful place with all the antiques furniture pieces and you are surounded by flowers and plants. Staff are amazing! Highly recommend and a must do in Sydney.
The setting is fantastic. The team, with one member, Harrison, in particular always provide excellent, (truly) friendly service. I love their new menu, too. The food and coffee, importantly, never disappoint. My family and friends have been going to this cafe for well over 12 months and as I promised Harrison on Saturday that I would write a review rather than just praise him personally, here it is! MvL.
Love the relaxed atmosphere. Quick and friendly service in the cafe and lovely teatime treats. Will try a main meal/breakfast next time.
So friendly. I pop in for flowers and plants every so often and they are just so pleasant to deal with. The whole store is a wonderment for anyone with an interiors fetish.
Lovely food, beautiful settings, and no better place to feel posh and chic whilst enjoying all fresco dining! The menu is a little overpriced for what it is, and the coast can be a tad bit too hard, but it is well seasoned and filling. The decor is the true delight here though!
As another fellow dealer to view the shop in person was personally a wonderful experience and another view of how success looks like, congratulations to the team.
Sweet garden cafe attached to a very old building, selling lovely French antiques, worth a look.
Beautiful place! Absolutely love this cafe. It feels like I’m enjoying my brunch in Europe with lots of decorating items made in Italy or France. The food is good as well. I ordered the charcoal sourdough with avocado and very satisfied with the dish. Will definitely come back here
Gorgeous place, beautiful, creative decor and outdoor courtyard style setting. Nice selection of food and beverage. Great in fine weather, not much cover when it rains unless you can get a spot inside the Glass house.
The order was fine, unfortunately the staff are bit rude and fussy on where people can sit and enjoy themselves, as it wasnt very busy but they wouldnt let us choose a place to sit. The place looked nice to take photos but I was not able to enjoy my experience which was extremely disappointing.
Beautiful location and setting, very lovely friendly staff, and good food. They get busy so expect a little wait for a table if you arrive at peak time.
Absolutely love this place! Beautiful decor, atmosphere, lovely staff and really tasty brunches.
We waited over an hour for ham and cheese on toast and were told repeatedly that our food was just a few minutes away. We were so exited to come here but unfortunately we will never be coming back.
