Parkes Visitor Information Centre reviews
25Stopped for a bit of lunch. Found the Henry Parkes historical house recreation and audio visual display very interesting. Well worth the stop.
Great greetings by the ladies at reception. They gave a good account of things to explore in Parkes area, waited for us before closing and also offered us some cookies. Thanks for all your courtesies.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the exhibits in the museums were amazing, a must see if you come to Parkes, it was a beautiful trip down memory lane, and an education for the young ones.
People extremely helpful with local information. Don't forget the Parkes Museum and Sir Henry's English house replica, also farm machinery exhibit. Having had to wait in Parkes while flooding subsided I found it interesting and helpful, plus some great local Almond Honey.
Really liked it here. First the ladies were very helpful. Plenty of things to see here, first the Elvis Presley displays, the car museum, Henry Parkes museum and the Hisorical museum all side by side. Worth checking it out.
A little late but myself and my partner passed through here Australia Day and they centre offered a driver reviver drink/snack which was very generous. The lady on duty was most welcoming and friendly. A must if in Parkes.
Visited the info centre but also went through the Elvis and the Motor museums. Really enjoyed both. I was surprised how much Elvis memorabilia the museum had. The cars in the Motor museum were some great examples of cars from 1918 up to the 80s. Beautifully restored.
Great maps with details that we couldn't find in other places.
Good info, great place to visit and check Elvis's museum
I arrived at 20 min before closing with 5 disabled adults and 2 carers. Sharon not only kept the museum open for us, she even have a nice gift to each of my clients. She made us feel so welcome! Thank you Sharon. That have us a great experience in Parkes!
A very good collection of souvenirs and books to choose from if you wish. The young lady working was delightful and knowledgeable. The Elvis museum was a surprise and the automobile display was awesome. The museum out the back was full of treasures. This is a great place to visit, you get more than you bargained for.
Very friendly and helpful, told us about a recently opened fenced, off leash dog park in Parkes. Thankyou for your kindness.
A great place for info on parks and its dish a must see.
For strayan history a must.

Very friendly staff loved the Elvis museum. Allan interested in the old train and farm machiney the old school house was equality as good.
Friendly information centre with loads of brochures and advice. Great Elvis Presley museum attached as well as a small vintage and classic car showroom. A great package for visitors to Parkes or those travelling the Newell Highway and needing a break.
Really friendly and helpful information center. Lots to see and do at the museums and plenty of parking for caravans
Very knowledgeable staff. Happy to help you have a good stay at Parkes and to supply information to suit your visit.
Great museum and visitors centre. Lots of information on the area, Henry Parkes, Elvis, a motor museum etc. Would recommend for anyone driving through.
Great place helpful staff & great museum at the back. If you like Elvis or better cars & bikes.walk around out the back for more things to look at.
In the visitors center you can see part of the equipment used in the radio telescope, like the first multibeam receiver or some of the electronics. There's also engaging material for kids and a beautiful exposition of astrophotography. In the store you can find interesting things and your purchase supports science!
