Park Central Duck Pond reviews
18Great place for morning and evening walk and cycling. Picnic areas and restrooms located in the park.
A hidden gem in the Campbelltown area, only discovered because of attending a nearby restaurant. It is good to see well established trees lining the streets along this area and the water fountain operating, giving the whole area a serene peaceful vibe. It would be good to see more established trees throughout this LGA - at least this is a good start.
The picturesque foreshore surrounds are a lovely spot for a picnic, stroll, and general appreciation of water fowl. However, swimming not recommended as the waters be the perfect blend of storm runoff and duck feces.
Just a beautiful place to chill at. Lovely fountain and lots of trees and plush grass to chill at. I went on a hot day and I guess no-one wanted to go out so it was really peaceful
The grounds are okay, but the whole area is in need of a clean, maintenance and refresh. The pond itself is covered in toxic algae which detracts from the rest of the experience.
I love watching Ducks at Park Central Duck Poud and i love walking at the duck pond and i love the place
Gardens and paths weren't maintained very well, ill put that down to covid. Pond had 4 ducks and covered in what looks like slime. But the park and the walk around itself is very nice. The park is awesome for the kids also
A beautifully maintained public park that never disappoints.
Parking can be difficult but worth the hassle.
Such a lovely local spot to stop and take in the sunshine and enjoy a takeaway coffee or lunch.
Take wild bird seed and feed the birds. Rosellas and cockatoos will sit on the park bench to feed. The rosellas are tame.
Regularly feed the waterfowl and use the exercise equipment. The park is a restful place to visit with an abundance of waterfowl. Parrots and a resident pair of black swans. There is cafe close. Parking can be a problem with two hospitals bordering the park. I visit later in the day after 4pm when there are less vehicles around.
My morning walk takes me by the pond every morning. So many birds, friendly dog walkers, likewise friendly joggers and dog-less walkers like me.
Generally well maintained, although tge birds do tend to foul the paths.
My little family love going here for walks, bike rides, to see the ducks/swans or go on the exercise equipment.
Kids playground great and park is nice to walk around. Duck pond has alot of poop around the walkway and sitting area and the pond itself is choked in algae. Not an expert but I would assume the algae makes it hard for the ducks to find food?
Kids love feeding the birds and ducks seeds and lettuce and berries. Then theres a park plus allnthenpaths for them to ride their scooters and bikes. Also has a public gym/exercise circuit for anyone to use
Park Central Duck Pond is a calm, beautiful, refreshing place for it's people in the Campbelltown/Macarthur district. Here at the duck pond are a mixture of wildlife including ducks, of course lol, eels, swans, and all type's of beautiful Australian birds. During the week they power up the water spout and it shoots in the air.
At the duck pond there are beautiful footpaths for a relaxing walk with exercise equipment for anybody to use and nice wooden bridges and decking. Also for the children a playground and for the family, BBQ areas to cook a pleasant feed. Also there is beautiful green grass with pretty trees that bloom so stunningly through the warmer months.
There are also amenities for if you need to clean up and go to the toilet. So get to park central across the road from Healthscope's Private hospital, Allure Hair dressing salon and Jamaica Blue coffee shop to indulge in some nice food. Perhaps a hotachocolate and a blueberry muffin.
Lovely place. Fed the ducks, swan and lorikeets. The park was clean and beautifully maintained.
