Panorama House

A group of us went to lunch today for a belated Christmas gathering. Friendly staff. Tables well spaced and comfortable, we weren’t crowded on top of each other. Magnificent views. Lovely atmosphere.

Such a nice experience we had there. Nice location, friendly staff, unbelievably kind and non-stop services, are part of our experience during our wedding at Panorama House.

Robbed my mate and his girlfriend, they had to cancel their wedding because of covid but this place wouldn't refund their money, when the situation was completely out of my Mate's control.very Unprofessional!

Panorama House are completely unprofessional and cannot be trusted. My fiance and I had to postpone our wedding because of covid twice and then had to cancel in the end because of the ongoing lockdowns. Panorama House refused to give us back our deposit and said it was in their terms and conditions. We gave more than enough notice plus it is out of our control as a major global health crisis is clearly not our fault. They said they don't care and that we will not get any of our thousands of dollars back. Already heartbroken and then robbed of our hard earned money and no compassion whatsoever. Please do not get married at Panorama House. They are happy to take your money but have no heart and no morals. If I could give them 0 stars I would

I would never recommend these animals to anyone as my best friend and mate planned to have there dream wedding at the panorama house but due to covid they had to postpone twice which was heartbreaking to hear but the most disgusting thing is panorama house refuse to refund the thousands of dollars which they both have worked hard for, if panorama house staff actually had a heart they would do the thing and return there hard earned money but Cleary they don't have a heart at all DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE VERY UNTRUSTWORTHY!

One would think in the middle of a PANDEMIC which is out of EVERYONES control, a business that was supposed to be a couples dream for their wedding day would be more compassionate and understanding due to the recent times. Withholding someone's hard earned money, a deposit that you will not refund is an absolute disgrace. Word travels very fast & unfortunately by doing such thing has now potentially lost your thousands of dollars because of your greed to steal off someone. Absolutely disgusting to think a well known wedding venue would do this to a family.shame on you!

To say I’m disappointed is an understatement, we had to cancel our wedding after postponing so many times, due to covid. And they have refused to give us our money back, with plenty of notice & the fact that they have done no service for us whatsoever. We are struggling as it is with a young family. Disgusting.

Food was absolutely amazing staff were friendly and most of all the view is absolutely spectacular of the illawarra

Terrible business, cancel a reception during a covid outbreak and lockdown with plenty of notice and still kept the deposit when covid is completely out of our control would never recommend to anyone, were all doing it tough and to rob someone of there money is not okay!

Two friends of mine where planning to have their wedding here but due to covid they had to change dates of their wedding twice and now they have had to unfortunately cancel their wedding completely due to covid pandemic and state wide lockdown. And to be told that they won't receive their deposit back is very upsetting they have given a fair amount of notice and haven't left it to last minute. I am fully aware that Panorama House have terms and conditions but I bet the terms and conditions where made and put in place with no thought of their ever being a global medical pandemic like WE ARE ALL AFFECTED BY THIS PANDEMIC HAVE A HEART AND REFUND PEOPLE THEIR MONEY ESPECIALLY IF THEY HAVE DONE THE DECENT THING AND GAVE YOU PLENTY OF NOTICE BEFORE IT WAS TOO LATE.

Do not get married here!
We are in the middle of an pandemic. You give them plenty of notice you need to cancel your wedding and they do not refund the deposit. I could understand if the wedding was cancelled a few weeks or days before. But with months notice and no refund not even a partial refund is unprofessional. The business might be doing it tough, though it does not give them the right to keep people's money!
I would not recommend.

Fantastic views, beautiful venue and delicious food! As we're wedding photographers travelling to Panorama House from Sydney, we highly recommended this venue for your upcoming wedding or next event/celebration!

Missing atmosphere. Great view on a clear day. Didnt realise minimum $35.00 two course meal applied. Menu lacked variety.

Great place for events (weddings, parties etc) with a stunning view over Wollongong. Food is good and staff very attentive. Great place to book for your special event

My girlfriend and I were once regulars of Panorama House for their buffet lunches which were always excellent.
After more than 12 months we attended today for the A La Carte set courses Menu (no buffet due to COVID).
To be unpleasantly surprised at the now inferior quality of the food presented to us. I ordered main size metaballs and was presented with 8 cricket balls of mince that had been frozen, thawed out and a tomato sauce of dubious cooking length simply poured over the thawed out meatballs. The taste was fridge contaminated and the sauce virtually raw. The combination unacceptable by any standards.
Bought this matter to the attention of the manager who went into an explanation of change of staff and so on and that the menu and cooking process had been changed. The end result was inedible cricket balls of mince passed off as Italian meatballs. We will not return

The reception areas are lovely and well run. When they say the accommodation is basic, they're not joking! Lovely view from the facility. The head manager can be a bit snappy.

Very nice place, great outlook over the escarpment and sea coast line.
Generous specials, lunch time meals, good service.

Nice food, beautiful place and views.but because usually is about 3 or 4 different functions going on at the same time it should be someone at the door telling people where to go.

Had a great lunch here and was very happy with the price we paid and killer views as well. Staff were nice and all in all we had a nice day. The accomodation downstairs looks very basic and not sure why there seems to be old building materials and broken air conditioners and empty beer kegs scattered around the place as made the area surrounding the venue look a little less inviting. Maybe grab a truck and fill it up and take a trip to the tip would fix that. Will be back for sure as value for money is the best around for a lunch this good.
