Palm Beach Rockpool reviews
7Even though the waves were big today didn’t bother the rock pool too much it’s fairly protected. Change rooms and toilet right next to the pool and the beach next to it is just lovely
Located in Southend of Palm Beach. This is a pool at the end of the beach with a structure separating it from the ocean waves. Beyond the pool, beautiful rocky structures with great view points towards the sea. The rock surfaces have small beautiful pattern formations due to years of erosion by sea waves. Great spot for some photos. People also visit this place for fishing.
It is located on the Southend if the Palm Beach. The pool is free of entry and it has paid parking in front of it. It has great views in all directions. There is a small jetty there too and saw some people fishing there as well. All in it was a nice clean pool with fishing points.
One of best Rockpool at the Northern beaches - easy walk, lots of sunshine- clean changing rooms - you can reach it by public transport as well.
At the far southern end of the long hook of Palm Beach, the Palm Beach Rockpool is nearing its centenary. Overlooked by the mansions of the mega-rich, it does have great views in every direction, but you’ll pay for the privilege of swimming with the privileged if you park nearby as we did. At over $14 for 90 minutes we were glad the pool was free of entry fees!
This one is a case of location, location, location: it’s nothing too special in and of itself. A bit slimy and weedy with murky water that was significantly colder then the ocean next door. You can expect to find a small, fancy-looking sandstone amenities block (brick would diminish the views of the wealthy) and an outdoor shower, but I’m afraid this one felt like the poor relation of its internationally famous adjoining beach.
One of my favourite swimming spots in Sydney with restaurants and cafes nearby. Great for taking a break from stress and relaxing on the beach.
Hard to find parking on weekends.
