Paddington Reservoir Gardens reviews
54You can see that the wisdom of building the bathhouse back then is roughly the same as what you see in the movie. It is spectacular and beautiful.
We stopped by with a small picnic lunch, it was perfect. This is one of the best parks in Sydney - the transformation from a reservoir into a garden is beautifully done. It is peaceful and serene too.
A beautiful oasis right in Paddington, Sydney. It is not big in size but packs in character, charm, and an engineering marvel.
The city of Sydney should be congratulated for preserving this wonderful piece of architecture and surrounding it with beautiful gardens. Calming and peaceful.
Absolutely gorgeous, it's like a little hidden underground haven or utopia. You definitely don't feel like you're right in the middle of the city when you're down there; it's almost like stepping into another world entirely.
Only recommend visiting if you are driving by! Super tough to find parking around. The spot itself is very small - all guide photos are very deceptive showing large scale. We were done there in under 5 mins - literally.
Beautiful gardens. I couldn't find a rest room which was inconvenient but a beautiful hidden gem nonetheless.
It’s a nice little park for a picnic, but do the come here expecting something big or very interesting
What a great space, I was lucky enough to see a photography exhibition here, down in the old water resivour. Amazing idea to turn the space into something that can be fully utilized by the community. Don't forget to read the story about the lumps of concrete near the footpath at the top of the stairs, it was a old petrol station back in the day.
Saw this first on ABC's Gardening Australia. Interesting and very well kept. Could only view from street level because of high staircase and suitcase in tow. However the history plaque didn't seem to cover the actual gas works on the property.
A hidden gem and a surprise! Been passing by couple times and never walked in! Could image how popular it would be for wedding photo shoots and etc ️
Perfect little garden to visit in the middle of Paddington. This is really a great place to stop for some resourcing out of the business of the street.
Great little complement to the visit to the Paddington Market
A wonderful piece of Sydney’s history and once a key water supply in the local Paddington area and surrounds. Has a nice old Babylonian feel to it and worth stopping by if in the area.
Gorgeous little space of serenity in Paddington. Very small, but great to have a sit down for a little break to draw or read a book whilst watching people take endless photos. There's a lift for accessibility too.

Cute little surprise garden in the middle of Oxford Street. Seats to chill in the sun or shade. Don’t need to spend too long here to fully explore but definitely worth passing by if you’re in the area.
Absolutely gorgeous place, though there were areas that were cordoned off. Lots of couples getting their wedding shots done, there were 3-4 of them when we were there. Street parking close to the area, about up to 5mins walk.
Gorgeous sunken gardens.
Wheelchair and pram accessible via lift.
Easily accessible off Oxford Street.
Seating is minimal with a handful of singlet chairs scattered around the gardens.
Unfortunately the eastern chambers are locked so can only view them through the gates.
Parking available on adjacent streets.
Good to know: It’s much smaller in real life than pics.
I recently got to capture some headshot for Queenie from Investing with Queenie. I love capturing photos at Paddington Reservoir, done a couple of wedding photos here! Sensational location!
Incrível cenário pra fotos e apreciação. Belas estruturas.
Amazing place for photos and delightful. Pretty structures.
