A fine example of a good community organisation. We took a cooking session, cooked some fantastic food, and learned a few things along the way. Would recommend for the most part. Great for small groups.

Oz Harvest is a great place that are committed to reduce food waste and rescues food from Woolworth and other supermarkets going to waste and help others in need of food. This also a great opportunity for young people to gain skills in a qualification in Commercial cookery through the nourish program for sucess.

Hate to complain about people trying to do the right thing, but this gives false hope.

I am embarrassed, but need help - especially during Covid.

I explained I am stuck in bed unwell, live alone, and have a brain injury.

But no help. Just a 'we don't deliver' and here is a link for people that might. But that link is confusing and unhelpful.

Sigh.

I am on a low income and go there to get some food. Won't go again. Everything is out of date or only lasts the day you get it. I got frozen out of date chicken a few days ago and when I thawed it out to use it stank, so I threw it away. Went in today and they gave me some frozen pork stir fry that was also out of date. I explained the chicken I got a few days earlier was off and the guy said we freeze it so it should be fine. It wasn't fine and if you freeze it when it's fresh, it will still be fresh when it's thawed. Most vegies and bread go mouldy if you don't use them immediately and most packet stuff is out of date. Someone should take food safety more seriously as someone will get very ill from out of date meats. Especially chicken. I know that it is free or for a small donation but seriously, this is not acceptable free or not.

Misleading website. Drove all the way there only to be told that they don't offer food for a donation. This was just their depot. I will say what they are doing is a great idea.

I was blown away by the people who run this amazing organisation. They were into sharing, collaborating and giving to others in need. The determination of the volunteers to give their time in an effort of helping the community was relentless.
The food and the love shared and distributed was overwhelming and made me realise that I must do more to make this world a better place.

Time for me to help build trust in our community - we can all benefit if we try just a little so that we can all smile again.

Every team needs to do a volunteer day at OzHarvest, excellent way to spend a day out of the office and do something amazing with some incredible people. Also learnt a few great cooking tips and tricks.
