Oriental & Continental Foods reviews
32 Excellent value and variety and if some dairy were available it would be 100% perfect.
Currently at 99.99 not quibbling though.
Great Customer Service.
Wide range of dry, frozen and other groceries. Really catering more to caterers and cafes but open to the general public. Very good prices on bulk quantities. Wide range of spices and herbs. Well worth a visit if you do middle eastern or Indian cooking. Smells really good because of the herbs and spices!
Parking: Artarmon is very difficult particularly during the week. Luckily O&C have got under cover basement parking under the shop (ground level). The shop is on the first level upstairs.
Amazing supermarket holding local and international products in regular and large quantities at great cost
Team is friendly polite helpful.
A nice big Asian Middle Eastern supermarket with wide range of herbs and spices with reasonable prices
Awsome place to go if your looking for a difficult to find ingredient. They have a large selection of spices, nuts and fresh Lebanese breads. They also do bulk packets of almost all their spices making then much cheaper than Coles.
OC Fine Foods is a portrait of why family owned businesses are the backbone of Australian society. Warm smiles greet all upon entry, and an answer to all questions is never too far away. And there are so many products to choose from!
I love shopping at Oriental Continental. I can get so many things, what I could"nt get anywhere else. Good shop, good service, good price.
Great range of food from all over the world. Always well stocked and staff are welcoming and passionate about what they do. Now doing delivery too!
Love this place. Always get the best nuts and spices and delivery is quick and helpful when we can't visit in lockdown. Very happy to be able to order online, and get our favourites delivered.
We have been buying from OC Fine Foods (at their old store and their new store) for years and their online buying system is as easy as attending the store (if not easier)!
The website is clear and obvious (don't you love the photos!), the selection is wide (obviously not as broad as the store - but they hopefully will increase this over time), the payment system is easy and the delivery is excellent (no, really, really excellent).
We will definitely be using the online ordering system again (real soon) and encouraging our neighbours to do so as well.
Amazing place for its products. But as far as customer service goes the rudest and the most obnoxious and aggressive female I have ever met. What happened to being polite to your customers. It's sad that the father of this business (bahij) is no longer there. One of the female staff members there needs a reality check in customer service if she continues with her attitude the business that her father built-up will be in ruins soon. Just so customers a not confused the prettier one is much more polite. I don't need your response either because it will be all about you and that's were your going wrong. SAD!
We go to Sydney regularly to purchase things which, where we live, in country NSW are non existent. To be able to buy online from OC Fine Foods is very fine indeed. The process was quick, the shipping very reasonable and I now have my favourite Turkish olives and other goodies that will make this covid lockdown more bearable. Thank you!
Love this store, it's got huge variety of products from around the world. Great prices too. Been a costumer for more than 12 years and always find something new.
The staff is amazing and helpful.
A fantastic shop experience.
OC Fine Foods was prompt in completing my order. I put the order on on Sunday afternoon and received it before 8am Tuesday. The quality of their products are excellent. There is no other continental and oriental food market on the north shore that I can buy in bulk. Thank you!
One of the best food shopping experiences in Sydney. Has everything I could possibly need by way of dried fruit, nuts, spices and so much more. Love, love, love this place.
This store if full of healthy and very good quality goods at reasonable price. It is definitely one of my first choices.
Exceptionally rude customer service. Would not shop here again. Most terrible experience. The shopkeeper confused me with someone else and was completely out of line.
I love this shop! It has nearly everything you could need from around the world! Be careful though, I always walk out with more than I intend to buy going in!
Such a great place! The only problem is I can’t start shopping- I go in for a few things, come out with a pantry full of treats and new discoveries!
Really, really excellent. They stock massive bulk bags or tubs of certain ingredients, particularly pantry staples like sea salt, black peppercorns, and all manner of dried fruits, nuts, flours etc. They also have large supplies of other, less common things that you'd probably also want in bulk. I love to buy huge cans of ghee here that you can keep in the pantry until they're opened, and getting massive bottles of things like maple syrup and other products that are significantly cheaper when bought in bulk is an excellent bonus.
Generally speaking, if you're looking for ingredients from non-Western cultures, Middle Eastern, subcontinent, and Central Asian foods are most likely to be found here. There are several Japanese, Korean etc products (huge bottles of Kewpie mayo anyone?) but it clearly primarily caters to Near Eastern and Middle Eastern ingredients. You're definitely going to find several flavours of halva, but you might not find a large number of Polish or Nigerian ingredients (though you'll probably find a few!)
Only real criticism: you need to go up a long flight of stairs to get there. This shop is not particularly accessible if you have limited mobility and I don't know how someone in a wheelchair would access it at all. However, I assume there's a lift for stocking the shelves (they stock 12.5kg bags of flour, nobody's carrying 50 of those up stairs) so CALL AHEAD if you're in a wheelchair or can't climb stairs and ask if there's a lift to use.
