Orange Aquatic Centre reviews
22Update December 2023: Pools are excellent, laps in the outdoor 50m are wonderful. Unfortunately, the change rooms still reeked of piss.
So lovely to visit you again?
Staff are friendly and polite.
Bonus points for being with Fitness Passport? See you next time I'm in town
Staff are generally good. The staff maintain way to may dedicated swimming lanes. Often 2/3 of the outdoor pool is set up as lanes and 1/3 for general use. Pathetic ratio - which often causes horrible circumstances of being to close to other uses and unreadable pool behaviour which is not managed appropriately by staff. The grasses area is mowed without a catcher making it a horrible sitting area. Its time for a ministerial complaint to make to community happier in this “current” average place.
Theres to little shade, tables, outdoor seating and swimming lanes.
Look elsewhere for a more enjoyable place.
I absolutely love this place, I haven't been in a while because of covid but it was great to be back today.
For casual swimmers there’s only one lane they can use as most of the times remaining lanes were used for classes or training session from 4: 30-6: 00 pm as per se. One day I went for a swim to relax my muscles. I didnt check the time and information regarding the use of lanes and jumped into one of the lane which was less crowded. One of the coach got furious and asked me out of the lane. He didnt give me a time to realise what was wrong. I felt a bit embarrassed. However, hopped into the last lane where I ended up sharing the lane with one man which was okay. I am not a perfect swimmer but enough to have it as a leisure activity. Later, few more men joined and there were 6 people in one lane. Life guard had to come and tell us swim one after another and use one side of lane to go and other to come back which was like a relay. All the men were good swimmers so I felt I couldn't keep up with them and I stayed at the corner for a while doing water exercise to relax my muscles and left.
Overall, its a good facility but not having a more lanes for casual swimmers is bit inconvenient. Oh! I remembered the face of coach that was scary. Nobody had scolded me like that in a long time.
P.s If it was a summer may be I wouldnt have face this problem as they have outdoor pool too.
Great environment for kids and adults. The warm water and ambient temperature was great considering that the weather outside was close to zero.
Various options available for all ages as well as close supervision of children in the pools.
Well kept change room and toilets.
Plenty of parking available.
What a fantastic venue for swimmers of all ages. Great staff and good prices for a beautiful aquatic experience!
I go swimming three times a week and just love it. I plan to keep going for as long as possible.
The staff are great, friendly and helpful.
Brilliant facility with exceptional staff & service. An absolute asset to the town of Orange.
The 50m pool was closed, which was fine, I asked if we could still use all the indoor pools. The person behind the desk said yes. Half the children's pool was blocked off for swimming lessons & so we're some of the 25m pool lanes. We were charged full price admission. They didn't even turn the fountains on in the kids pools.
Very fun and a good place overall has 3 pools. Fun to go with family/friends and even by yourself.
Fantastic adventure, people with disabilities will feel at home with the clever incorporation of safe access to the pools and showers. Worth the visit.
The pool was great! Despite how many people where there even during the vivid restrictions it was great. Highly recommended it
Dissapointing to see the outside pool not yet ready to go and the place becoming more and more overcrowded. And this is the start of the school holidays.
Not much room for casual swimmers in the indoor pool.
One lane to share.
Been this way every time I've taken the kids for a swim. For the price paid, more space should be provided.
Pool rehab area quite good to use although not overly warm water despite being a heated pool.
Do their best to maintain high water quality. Swim squad and instructors are great with kids. Renovated bathrooms/changerooms make the experience much better than before - especially in cooler weather. Have improved their communication with parents about lessons/squad.

The chips here are so cheap and good, serve yourself chicken salt. Staff aren't always the nicest but it's a pool and you bet you can swim in it.
Kids kept pooping in the pool and we weren't allowed to swim in the diving pool at any of the times we went during the heat wave
