I went into Optus North Wollongong to try and get help to find a replacement phone for my elderly father. The model was old and I thought it would not be available. I was met by Josh who immediately made me feel comfortable with his positive and respectful demeanour. He quickly organised the phone for purchase, reassuring me about its functionality in relation to an older user. There was no hard sell, no up sell, just old fashioned friendly customer service. He took the stress out of the purchase which I was most appreciative of. He was a pleasure to be served by so I felt it was important to provide this review of his outstanding work today.

My daughter and I visited OPTUS North Wollongong on 23 September 2023 and were welcomed by Ash.she advised that she was training and Josh came to sit with us.we discussed many things such as the new process of upgrading my daughter's phone and that the payments now have to be by direct debit.we also discussed that our WiFi seemed to be lagging. I just want to say what a wonderful experience it was. Ash led the conversation and Josh guided her with just the right amount of instructions. Josh never once took over and allowed Ash to complete the entire process.after many questions they realised that I had a very old modem.they suggested I upgrade to a new plan and therefore get a new modem which will address the lagging of my WiFi. Josh did advise that OPTUS no longer supports email accounts and he suggested I obtain a new email account and sort that out before I changed my plan.so TAKE 2. I visited again 28 September and was attended by Anna. I explained my previous visit and again I was given the most amazing customer service. Anna took me through all the processes of a new modem.inserted the SIM for me and then answered my many questions of how my future upgrades will look like as far as direct debits etc. Josh was again there and I loved how he checked in with Anna. OPTUS I have been with you for a lot of years but I have to admit that over the last 6 months of moving house and my daughter upgrading early on her phone due to technical issues I was just about to go elsewhere as the online service is absolutely rubbish.it took me 2 weeks to get my internet changed to my new address.a lot of data was absolutely chewed up because of the delay.things were not explained to my daughter about the change to direct debit payments and my issues with your online services go on and on.however I have attended your North Wollongong office twice in the last week and I cannot praise the service I received enough. Josh, Ash and Anna have given me hope with their absolutely wonderful customer service that OPTUS still wants my business.and still cares. I totally recommend the North Wollongong Office for any OPTUS customer to attend in person.instead of 3 or 4 hours online chat.

North Wollongong store is the best. Parking out front and friendly staff. Jess is a standout, so helpful and knows her stuff. I visited the store on Saturday morning with a huge list of questions and problems. Jess was extremely helpful and nothing was a problem for her. She resolved my ongoing internet issue and i am so thankful to have received such great customer service.

The team at Optus North Wollongong were absolutely amazing! My husband and I were treated like VIP’s - from the moment we walked into the store, until the end, every question was answered and nothing was too hard. Josh, David, Jess and Molly were all so professional, efficient, super friendly, passionate and knowledgeable - we will tell everyone we know and we will remain loyal and happy customers. These guys are an asset to Optus and have provided us with a customer service experience we won’t ever forget. Thanks legends!

Just upgraded again, I always see these guys as the service is exceptional and so much better to deal with than over the phone or online. Always very helpful & seem to get me the best deal.

My mum and I, along with other family, came to upgrade our phones and plans. Jess was very very helpful and had a great attitude. She was patient and explained the services really easily. We experienced technical issues, Jess reassured us and helped navigate the system, making calls and constantly working until the issues were resolved. We were very impressed with Jess’s service along with the other staff who helped. Thank you!

A retail store at best, any signs of customer support for faulty devices is palmed off to an online reporting system where you might get a return call within a month from an overseas team

OMGoodness. I called Dean before going to the store. He was very helpful. Jess, from the time I arrived to the the time I left was professional, helpful, listened and answered all my random tech questions on an $80 modem. I wish all my technical and sales questions in life had received this 5 star treatment, and believe me when I say, I can tell the difference. Thanks to all the team at North Wollongong Optus

Came in with a fairly complicated request and your staff member was an excellent help.he walked us through, made conversation, and offered some great deals! We ended up getting a larger plan than we intended for this reason! Didn't catch his name, but hats off to your employee with the mullet working on Saturday afternoon 8/5/21 - if I need anything else, I know where I'll be going!
