Seen to straight away which was nice. This shop can get busy at times.
Pyper was super helpful with changing phones and updating my plan. Everything is explained easily and rest of staff happy to help.
Only bad thing I have to mention is when buying new phones these days expect to buy accessories to use phones. No charger and cables with new iPhone 15 pro. Two other phone accessories shops out side where covers and screen protectors cheaper but you get what you pay for I guess.
Overall optus staff friendly and easy to deal with.

Useless staff every time you go to the store they just talking tell you can come in 15 minutes when we go come back talk again tell us your service will active in four hour which is not happened came back same happened I will give them 0 start I recommend every Optus customer to don’t in Jesmond store waste of time

Needed to register a Sim card and I was helped by cool and friendly staff, the lady who attended to me was patient enough to explain the data monthly subscription and services rendered by Optus. I'll recommend the Jesmond branch.

Was lied too about extra items coming with the phone free, asked multiple times if I would be charged for it and was told "no".
When told to sign contract was told it is the same as my previous one as I was just upgrading g my phone.
Went into store once I got my bill and noticed I was being charged for thr extra items I was told were FREE.
Went to the store at jesmond and staff were rude! One guy even laughed at us.
Was not told they are a franchise.
Went to another optus store and was told we ate not the first to have this happen.
Will be taking this further and making sure they don't do this to others.

Very unprofessional, the people working here said they didn't know anything I asked them. Apparently they are very poorly trained or just can't be bothered to give any services which doesn't make them any money

I am registering a complaint on behalf of my elderly parents who had an extremely bad experience at the Jesmond Optus Store today (3/11/2022).
This evening I visited my parents to find my father in an upset and distressed state and not feeling well. He has recently had a pacemaker fitted which is still an ongoing health issue.
On speaking to mum and dad, they informed that they had gone to jesmond to try and resolve an ongoing contract / billing issue. Basically they are being charged for Fetch Tv, though they have cancelled service a while back, and returned equipment.also charged for Optus Sport, which they don't have or asked for, and also some extras on the bill for services and items they never would have asked for.
On presenting to staff at Jesmond, they recieved poor customer service bad attitude from the young staff, and were basically told, that is the plan you are on, if you change or cancel, you will incur penalties. Mum found dad in the store, visibly upset, and no resolution achieved.
I am concerned that the experience today and recent dealings with Optus, has serious implications on his health
I intend to follow this up, and if need be will guide my parents through the complaints process with the Telecommuncations Industry Ombudsman, and possibly media, it's disgusting the way elderly Australians are treated by the staff of tech companies these days.
Stay away from this store.

Extremely poor customer service
Have been treated very badly by the manager of the store
He was rude and patronising and condescending was treated like I was wasting his time extremely unhelpful
Don’t put yourself through the trauma of any interaction at the Jesmond store

Extremely disappointed went in store on Wednesday to speak to someone about changing my internet plan, because I was having so many issues with it. Things got sorted and I signed up for a new plan and left with a new sim for the modem, unlimited data. Easy as. Went home put the new Sim in and realised I would have to reset it, so I did. All good up and running. Thursday I received a message from Optus saying I'd used 100% of my data and speed would be slowed down. Friday I rang the shop and was told by a lovely lady that she would check with someone to see what was happening. She rang me back and said she had raised the matter and it should all be sorted soon. She said if it didn't get sorted I might have to go into the store to get another Sim. Closer to closing time it still wasn't activated, so I rang the store and told the fellow that my story. He went off calling out asking if anyone knew antthing about my problem. He then came back and said I'd have to ring the white glove team. After finding out what that was about, I explained there wasn't a problem with connecting, just that the new plan wasn't activated. He said that they were sales. Well whoever you were, The Sales team there sold me the plan so since I brought it there I think you need to sort it out. Now I have to go in because of security reasons. How bloody rude. One word Ombudsman

Make sure they have new phone in stock before you sign up. Told us we could pick phone up next day. 2 weeks later …no phone and fobbed off to someone else to cancel contract. The staff were polite enough.

Refuse to replace faulty sim card when on phone to optus they told me to take it there to get replacement as was faulty and couldn't activate but staff flat out refused even tho they could read on their system o was told to bring the faulty sim in for replacement they were very rude if could give less stars I would

Absolute incredible service, James was so helpful and solved many of the phone issues we were facing. He made the process so simple and remained patient and kind throughout the whole time. Will definitely return to Optus Jesmond for our future optus needs. Very impressed with the service

I have a work phone and have used the Mayfield Optus store on two occasions over the last couple of years to swap to and from a standard to a mini sim. Today I was denied the ability to do this as I am not the account holder. I was told I cannot perform this online, and I was also informed that my employer cannot complete this action over the phone. The Optus lady said that they cannot legally perform these actions unless the account holder is there in person with ID. If that's the rules then that's the rules - no problem. Slightly annoying to have this action performed multiple times without hassle only to be turned away another time.

Down vote for inconsistency I guess.
