29Putrid service with a poor attitude, had to hand in my phone as advised from optus for repairs through insurance.the young blond girl was rude before we evan sat down and proceeded to be rude throughout my time there.conduct yourself in a professional manner and dont bring you rude attitude to work, i wish i could give service -5stars.i recommend not visiting this store.
My partner and I were approached by one of your staff and I have to say the whole time she was unprofessional and innapropriate to say the least.
She didn't have a clue what she was doing and during the 25mins of waiting for a simple answer she sat with a extremely short skirt flashing her bits to my partner not once but twice. (We saw the lot) My daughter who is 12 even felt uncomfortable.
Feeling confused with the service we couldn't get out of their quick enough.
Simply awful. Lots of staff no one to serve you. No idea about the products they say we don’t do that if they don’t know an answer. We found later looking on line the correct response. This happens every time we are made to head into this store. It’s such a long painful experience. Staff are just unbelievable, so very bad.
Does anyone else find it painfully ironic that you cannot telephone the sales outlet of a business that is in the business of selling telephones?
Hello Management, i’m Aimee Stromeier I had to come into Opus Westfield Kotara today cause I bought $10 credit recharge at Waratah newsagents and the guy sold both myself and my sister the wrong amount he gave us a $20 for $10 and I couldn’t work out why it didn’t want to work so we both went to Optus and when younger lady looked at the computer that’s what she found so instead going oh well not her problem type of attitude she was friendly and wanted to help she let us keep the $20 recharge and didn’t charge anymore cause it was the mans fault at Waratah I thank her very much for her great help I will be getting $30 next week of credit again, Recommended. Yours sincerely Aimee Stromeier
Extremely bad customer service if you want some information about their products, including mobile phones. It appeared that since I was not buying anything at the time, it was not important to help me.
If at all possible, visit the Optus store at Greenhills, near Maitland, as you will get better service and advice.
First up, I enquired about NBN plans, telling the person what I wanted, and what I did not want. I was told that although the things I did not want are included in the plans, I do not have to use them, and also that "they" did not charge for the things that I do not want, nor need. However, and I doubt the person actually knows, the plan with the things I do not want, nor need, is dearer than a plan that does not come with these things.
The person did not inform me of the cheaper plan.
The person then wanted me to give them all of my details so they could look up my information on their computer. I politely declined giving the information, as I deemed it not necessary as I was interested in the NBN plans that they offer.
The person attempted to have me leave the store, but I then asked about mobile phones.
After explaining what I was looking for, and the purpose of these features, I was told that I should go to an electronics store to purchase a mobile phone from them instead of this particular business.
I then asked if there were any other mobile phones with the features I was after. The person said there was another and that they would go out the back and grab it.
While the person was out the back, the other (so called) sales people stared at me. It felt like I was not welcome in the store, let alone having the first person actually go out the back and do some work. After about four (4) minutes, the person come back with the mobile phone, and showed it to me. After asking a question about this mobile phone, to which the answer was that the phone does something that I did not want the phone to do, the person seemed unimpressed that I did not purchase anything.
I left the store, shaking my head, and wondering what these sales people get trained to do, as it certainly is not training for serving a customer. It appears that they just want your information, phone number, address, etc, so they can sell you a product.
Staff were really friendly, and were able to help me out. Damien made sure I was informed of the various options out there for my needs. Thanks Damo:)
If I could give minus stars I would. The new Manager Rachel is useless. We moved all of our services for both residential and business to Optus only to not have phone or internet connection. After many calls to the store and a couple of visits we were told by the Manager there is nothing she can do because it's her first day! To date we still don't have either a phone or internet. We have spent countless hours on the phone over the past 4 days and the problem is still not resolved.
Steer clear of this store and Optus in general!
Overall pretty happy, the staff weren't able to give me an honest estimate of Fibre to the Node speeds though and kept insisting that I'd get the speeds quoted. This isn't possible. Other than that they showed me the available plans and talked through them satisfactorily.
