Oldbury Cottage is the perfect mix of luxury and history done in a heritage style cottage that provides the perfect winter getaway. The fireplace, the big tub, nice yards and outside area make this seemingly isolated retreat something special. Even though the cottage provides you with that much wanted relaxed and private feel, you are only a minute from the main street of Berrima and within 20 minutes of numerous other small towns which make this the ideal location. This was our 3rd visit and it won't be our last.

I always search for a place with character and this was the most enchanting place I have ever chosen. Such care has been taken to restore this 1846 cottage that you will spend much of your time just marveling at the floorboards ceilings and every nook and cranny. Each window looking out is like a painting be it lavender in bloom from the kitchen sink window to greenery from every single window. It rained most of the time we were there and at first I was sad but then it became even more cosy and we sat outside under a large umbrella and marvelled at all the details of the gardens and the other older stone cottage that was built to store explosives years ago. When the sun finally came out we were actually disappointed it was that cosy.
I hate to say this as I may never be able to book again if it’s real busy, but if you are looking for a unique experience in a very sweet village with kind people and yes we saw platypus on our river walk, book here. It is worth every penny, within walking distance to everything, and our two nights felt like ten days we were that relaxed and rejuvenated. There is no better compliment. Oldbury Cottage is charming, wonderful and totally unique. Each time we returned after being out, it felt homely and welcoming. It's a heart warming experience, has everything you need and more.

What an amazing cottage! It was so perfect for our stay at Berrima. Comfortable, private, central, quiet, inviting and with loads of gorgeous character. Everything was perfect. I kept saying to my husband that I wanted to stay longer. When we left and was driving home he said that he wanted to go back again soon. A great relaxing break. Thank you to the team for providing such a beautiful and lovely environment.

We really enjoyed the cottage for its history because we always find that interesting and I had traveled past the cottage many times before as my parents had lived in the area.

We loved our stay in this quaint and comfortable cottage. Every detail was thought of by our hosts and we wished we had booked a third night. It exceeded all our expectations - and those were pretty high. My American husband declared it his favorite vacation spot we've been to in 18 years of traveling together. Well done, Michael!

This is truly the most wonderful place. It's cozy, comfortable and warms your soul. From, fresh flowers to lovely treats, to be honest it was hard to go out and about as we just wanted to be at the cottage. I would most definitely stay there again and thoroughly recommend that anyone looking to visit Berrima books Oldbury Cottage.

Excellent little cottage. We have stayed here many times now and look forward very much to each stay. Such a lovely place in such a lovely location. It is presented extremely well and the bed, bath, shower, fire, heaters, underfloor heating in bathroom are all perfect treats. The gardens are beautiful as well.

Oldbury Cottage was just beautiful. Everything we needed was provided for a perfect winter getaway. A short walk in to Berrima Main Street for cafes and restaurants. What a gorgeous retreat.

Delightful cottage, smells so clean and fresh as you walk in and it is furnished with both style and comfort in mind. Little extras, such as complimentary wine and two glasses set at the table and combination nuts to snack on and a complimentary chocolate at each bedside table are the cherry on top. Guests here are spoilt for options, whether it be where to sit in the garden or which heating option you choose, gas or woodfire inside or firepit outside. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, it is a credit to it's owners.

We had the perfect weekend away at Oldbury Cottage. The cottage has so much history and character to appreciate with many thoughtful touches and modern conveniences to make you feel special and at home. The location is ideal to get to the all of Highland's attractions and is a walk away to the Berrima village. The place is well heated and we loved spending our nights being cosy by the crackling warm indoor fireplace. We highly recommend this charming unforgettable place and can't wait to go back!
