Amazing business with the best coffee in the northern rivers. Just wish I could get it in Sydney too!

I’ve been here quite a few times and the coffee is lovely and the food is really yummy. They have a lot of nice blends and I’ve even bought some beans for myself. Whenever I’m nearby I always try and stop in for a coffee as the staff are always very welcoming and the coffee is great!

I was looking for a coffee at 6am and found this place which had excellent coffee. It's an unusual place to find in a semi industrial area as they support organic type products. I will go back to try the food as that also looked interesting.
Update, the food is good as well and now there is some good seating. They continue to improve and offer a wider range of food.

My family and I are up from Sydney visiting family and staying in Ballina. Found this amazing coffee spot and have been coming every morning to get my daily dose before we head out for the day. So glad I found it. Such a great brew and great vibe and hang out.

Local coffee roasters that sell to the public. Also, delicious sandwiches, cakes, etc. Sit inside or outside on lawn at tables under umbrellas. My favourite. Staff informed and courteous.

Well worth the detour on our road trip south from Brisbane. Situated in the industrial part of Ballina, this roastery is a winner. The coffee has beautiful rich flavours which lingers long after the last sip. They also have some great snacks in the cabinet. Service is professional, prompt & friendly

Amelia and all at Old Quarter are my fav local coffee team! My near-2yo and I often sit out the back with our delicious coffee (me) and sourdough crumpets (little one) & take in all that goes on on the floor. Their gentle interactions with my son - and their tasty offerings - are indicative of their commitment to community (both locally and for the communities they partner with overseas) : connection, friendship, growth, YUM! Best ‘fuel’ stop in town. Daily Happy indeed. ️️

Stopped by on the way to Gold Coast for a break, love the exterior and interior inside out, industrial but warm and welcoming atmosphere, very good place to take photos.ordered 3 wraps and 2 flat white. The wraps were amazing, never had wrap with stuffing with that texture (omelette?), mushroom mixed with other magic ingredients gave my tastebuds a blast for sure. Beans of the day was from Myanmar (PA'O), it had added milk so can't tell how good it was for brewing espresso but I did taste something special in it, the flat white drink was definitely the best along the route from Sydney up till Ballina so far.

Will definitely stop again whenever driving pass Ballina ;-)

The kindest & most friendly staff, as well as having the best coffee in Ballina! I look forward to it every morning! Plus the ham & cheese toasties that are absolute game changers! I love telling everyone I know this is the only place to get your coffee!

Hidden gem of a cafe in the middle of an industrial area with inside and outside seats. Beaut coffee and food

High quality coffee. Driving Gold Coast to Sydney, we didn't expect to find such good coffee on the way. Toasties were also delicious. Highly recommend.

I participated in the coffee workshop recently to get the most of of my at home coffee machine. I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop and really appreciated the way that both Amelia and Nathan took the time to really explain the processes. Highly recommend.
Great coffee, great venue and fabulous people.

A great place to find high quality coffee, but also a lovely selection of toasties and sandwiches for a simple cafe brunch. I got a ham, cheese, tomato & spinach toastie, and husband got the Cheeky Boy (a beef wrap with sriracha sauce). And we noted lots of vegan options to modify many of the menu items to suit dietary needs. The single origin batch brew from Myanmar seemed to have been sitting there for some time as it had lost a lot of heat, but in fairness we came on a Tuesday morning where it may not have been in as-high demand. The batch brew had beautiful notes of sweet date and yeast, bringing out lots of bright and sweet flavours. The chai latte was creamy and had a good balance of spices and sweetness. Even for a Tuesday mid-morning it was surprisingly busy, yet the staff seemed to be keeping up with the demand really well.

What a great spot, terrific staff and fantastic service…and I’ve just finished a superb long black made with love by your barista…. Great start to a chilled Ballina morning.
