It's a great place we have been several times. It's quite expensive for the type of food and they need to significantly improve on wait times for drinks as they always take forever. However overall a really great place with delicious food.

The food and cocktails are always amazing. The service impeccable and accommodating. Thank you again for a wonderful experience.

Nice quiet, early mid week meal for us worked just fine for us.
Friendly staff, nice venue and exquisite Asian taste. Do yourself a flavour book and try one of the banquets.

The food, the cocktails, the service were all top notch. So good! This was my first time at OH MY PAPA, the first time for my date as well - we'll definitely be back.

We went out to celebrate a work promotion, this place is oh my papa good. The service is friendly and prompt, the food incredible and the outlook over the newly built piazza. The cauliflower dish and spicy noodles are my go to meals. There is lots of space so booking is easy. I highly recommend this for a great night out.

The ambiance of the restaurant was well presented and the staff were caring and active. However, we experienced a few negatives during our meal.

Firstly, the service was slow, with our first dish taking over half an hour to arrive. Additionally, some parts of the prawn stir-fried egg noodle were undercooked, which was disappointing.

Lastly, we found the prices to be high for the quality and quantity of the dishes served.

Overall, while the restaurant had some positive aspects, the slow service, undercooked food, and high prices impacted our dining experience negatively.

Had our first yum cha at Oh My Papa! And Oh it was amazing. Certainly not the traditional yum cha we have enjoyed before in other restaurants. Each serving was interesting in taste, combination and look. Some more traditional like the pao bun but taste was amazing. Will ceratinly be our place to come back for another yum cha with friends.

My hubby and I had the best time in town.everyone was nice but Lexy was superb. Food, drinks, and atmosphere were all amazing but Lexy made it even better.
Wish I could come here more often. Will definitely come back next time in town!

I thought overall the food was amazing going beautifully balanced flavours. That atmosphere is great. Would definitely dine here again!

We had a table of 13 and booked for 16. I didn’t realise we automatically got a banquet when booking 14+ people. It was $60pp. Thankfully my friends all jumped on board & we were all so glad we did! What a great selection of food! Do yourself a favour & book a table of 4+ people and try the banquet! It was a great selection to try everything on the menu & cost effective! We had a celiac in our group and they were amazing in providing appropriate & equal alternatives. We also really enjoyed the vibe and the staff’s attitude! Our only note for improvement was the drinks were slow in arriving & we had to ask but it didn’t dampen our experience enough to warrant a removing of a star for the rating - we will be back.

Some of the best food I have ever had. The flavours were incredible and the service was great. My new favourite restaurant in Newcastle.

First time to try their food, and it didn’t disappoint us. The food are excellent, cocktails are uniquely made, and we had a chance to talk to the owner who was very accommodating, looking so young, and warm customer service. Oh my Papa is Newcastle’s hidden gem. Highly recommended!

Small but friendly. Nice atmosphere. Was a little difficult to find. And Newcastle parking is ridiculous.

Oh my papa has to be one of the best places to eat in Newcastle. The wagu, pork belly and asparagus wrapped in bacon yakitori are my favourite. The portions are also fair and we never leave hungry. I only wish they delivered!

We were delighted with our welcome to Yum Cha lunch for my grandson’s 20th birthday yesterday, which included a welcome & attention given to his younger brother who is severely disabled.
Everyone was friendly and interested, presenting delicious food with flair- even offering the birthday boy a special flaming shot after his meal. He was thrilled. Thank you all so much.

The food was AMAZING! Small drawbacks… had to wait a long time to have our drinks order taken for the first round but after that they were attentive.
The restaurant is very noisy and it is difficult to have a conversation, this would be resolved with the addition of acoustic panelling on the ceiling.
