Ogalo Crows Nest reviews
35 Little bit pricey, but damm, it's pretty flipping good.
Star of the show are the chips, absolutely perfect. Great chicken salt/chips ratio.
Burgers are fire aswell, hot sauce mix is spicy enough, but not overwhelming.
Service is good, owner (I think) is genuine.
Overall, would recommend if you are looking for a nicer fast food option albeit at a bit higher price.
Ordered delivery on Menulog, after 1 hour I called and cancelled with the shop and I asked them to contact Menulog to do the same as a driver still had yet to even be assigned. The shop did say initially that the food was fine under the heat lamp, I said it’s chicken - no thanks - they still charged me and delivered the food 3 hours later no exaggeration.
Excellent selection of Portuguese burgers and their spicy chilli sauce. Customer service is superb and portion size is good. Ample parking on the street. An easy solution would be placing a phone order (takeaway) for quick in and out. Must try: Prego sauce, chips with chilli mayo dip and it's famous range of burgers. Veggie options are available too.
Burgers are awesome, chips are extra crispy, very generous with the sauce, can't complain. Gets pretty busy at lunch time though
Greasy.good. Not as good as when it was 'crowsnestburgers' but yeh.still a good chicken burger
The burgers are nice, chicken is just ok and not that great.
Reasonably priced and convenient location with some seating.
They had a TV blaring an infomercial about a massage bed, it was very annoying. Asked the staff to change the channel, turn down the volume or turn it off. They turned the volume up. Burger was ok but having to listen to infomercial the whole time I ate made the whole experience awful.
Best chicken burgers on the North Shore.way tastier and cheaper (and much shorter wait) than Chargrill Charlie's. Get around the good folk at Ogalo Crows Nest.
Hot Ogalo burger is the classic and the best. Beware food in general is quite greasy so if you can't stomach it go elsewhere. Also $11.90 for the burger alone is quite the ask for a distinctly non-gourmet burger (more than Grill'd across the road!).
Slimy greasy staff speaking in their own language whilst serving.
Highly not recommended
43min for a burger.the skinniest bashed up chicken I’d ever seen. Bun uncooked… don’t waste your money!
Go across the road for a Vietnamese roll.
Get yourself a hot ogalo with double cheese. It's quite possibly the best chicken burger in Australia
Great Chicken and Chips. Would give that a massively high score as it's really good local food.
Have ordered chips from here on many occasions to add to home cooked meals and this was the first time to try more of the menu.
Got Chicken, Chips and Coleslaw.
The 'Chicken Salted' Coleslaw let this place down. Tasted like half a bottle of salt was added.
Called to question whether a mistake had happened on my order, to find out they add Chicken Salt as part of the Coleslaw recipe?
It was really unpleasant to eat, and totally unnecessary to add salt of any kind on Coleslaw.
Made a great meal quite an unusual experience.
Burger was messy. Though the person who was serving was generous. But sorry didn't like the meal
Decently proportioned food. Burgers were decent, half chicken was a bit dry today. Friendly staff and table service.
Not all Ogalos are the same. Crows Nest Ogalo is BY FAR the best one. Always fresh, flavours balanced beautifully, and they are generous with the grilled onions when you ask them. Great staff who know how to make a decent burger! 10/10
Ive been going to O'galo's for more than 15 years now - Love them! Provided you get a good one and eat it straight away!
But i will admit, this particular outlet has never been one of the best for the quality of burgers. Decent, but not great.till my last visit anyway - THE BEST BURGER IVE EVER HAD!
Hopefully the next is just as good, because this place has some of the longer trading hours which is alway more convenient.
Better than Oportos and Nandos and cheaper, used a few time via delivery so as fast food goes is good and delivery is usually quick and correct.
Wraps are great. Good combination of ingredients, very abundant and super fresh. A big plus that they were open on New Year's Day!
We ordered the wrap with halloumi (vegetarian) and the one with bacon and pineapple.
The hot chips were very tasty too!
Not a bad piece of food. Ogalo in my eyes is a mix between a fastfood joint and a sit down burger place. Their chicken does taste fantastic and burgers are top notch, only thing that let this down was the service did not have enough attentiveness when taking my order (I'm big on quality customer service as that's what keeps me coming regardless of price). They were not nasty or anything like that, just seemed like they were empty shells just doing their role.
