Disappointing Printing Experience

My recent visit to Officeworks Pitt Street was quite frustrating and left me questioning their policies regarding customer satisfaction and environmental responsibility.

I spent a substantial two hours editing some important photos on the Office Work monitors, only to find out that the printed copies had errors. Naturally, the manager offered a refund, which was promptly provided. However, my disappointment escalated when the lady at the counter requested that I surrender all the printed photos for shredding while chewing her gum.

I explained to her that these photos held personal value, some of which belonged to others as well. After investing so much time and resources into editing and printing, it was disheartening to witness such a wasteful decision. Rather than discarding them, these prints could have been offered to the customer or potentially repurposed.

It's not just about the money spent; it's also about minimizing waste and being environmentally responsible. I urge Officeworks to reconsider their policies in situations like this and find more sustainable and customer-friendly solutions.

Truly the worst service. Was late to my event and didn’t even get the things I needed because they were so understaffed for a Saturday morning. Terrible.

So impressed with the store manager's skills at Pitt St, in helping find a solution to an IT issue I was having. Also a big thank you to Brad who solved the issue, extremely impressed with his expertise and ability on such short notice. Well done team

The place is disgusting, staff is very slow i have to wait for more than one hour To print a single poster, i went there twice always there are big lines people standing they don’t care even if they are old. The pady name (Meena) she is so rude

Went there 06/08/23.
Looking for powerbanks which could charge my laptop on the go.

The new style of customer service is bad.
Only printed cards with powerbank details is available.

I have to bring the cards to the counter and ask them to show me the product.

BUT it is NOT even available at the front counter. The I have to follow the guy to the back while he is looking for the products. Once he has the products for a while, I can't even hold the powerbank at all.
Only could see it from the staff hand without touching it.

They are so afraid I would steal it. While the are displaying lot more expensive products without anyone guarding it.

Love this place, i went there lots of times, they have young people working here, but they are all well trained, hard working and polite. They helped me several times and never let you go without resolving the problem

This office works is the worst one among NSW and VIC. The girls behind the counter are more interested in gossiping between them. They are not professionals in customer service. To get simple print out, there is the cue of 10 people but the girls are living in their world. Of course not recommending

It’s a worst place I’ve ever been to. It took me 40 mins to ask staffs how to print the passport photo. When the machine wasn’t printed out cause it can’t read my file. A male staff told me to ask for help from printing team and a female staff refuse to help that she wants me to line up again. It’s totally wasting my time. Never come back.

If you’re looking to print anything slightly special, save your cash and go somewhere else.
The staff at this Officeworks aren’t experienced in anything beyond a “basic print job”.
The manager on duty today also had terrible customer experience skills, lack of empathy and customer care.

I would like to extend a different retelling of alan shen’s review, since i was present on the day of the alleged bait and switch; the blonde asian girl was nothing but pleasant.it was in fact alan and an accomplice of his BERATING this poor girl, to the point of being in TEARS.i extend the following question to you;
1.what would she have gained from a bait and switch? SHE isnt getting money from it.
2.have you worked retail/click and collects? If you worked retail for a single day, you would know that any developed CnC (especially wesfarmers ones) do not allow for “bait and switch” scenarios and you have to scan a BARCODE to get the product.
3.were you listening when she was trying to explain what was the situation? No! You and your little accomplice were SCREAMING in her face like 6 year old children, saying “youre not f-ing listening to me! 1! ”
in fact, if anything, she was absolutely pleasant and helped me with stock.i asked about graphite sticks for an upcoming class, and while OW doesnt stock the artist grade ones i was looking for, she provided some wonderful alternatives! 10/10, she deserves a pin.

Completely unacceptable service. Bought an item for click and collect online and the asian lady that worked there with the blonde dyed hair did a bait and switch to a lower end model without any notice. Needless to say I left the store in disgust and will never come back.

Genuinely one of the worse shopping experiences ive had for all of 2022. Took over half an hr just to get my photos to connect to their computers because of the instore connection, and when it finally connected no receipt came out so i had to get staff help. Then once i had a receipt and was trying to print my photos, the self serve printer broke down after 5 photos and the only solutions staff had for me was reconnecting to their printers which would take at least 15-20 minutes to print, or to reorder and pay a second time for the same photos. I ended up waiting for over 35 more minutes for these pictures, only to collect them and be given doubles of my first half of images ordered and the second half to have not been printed at all. I was in the store for 1.5hrs, left with only half the pictures i wanted and genuinely hope i never have to shop at officeworks again.

Used to be a great store, but nowadays all your guaranteed is a long wait to pay, while multiple staff wander past doing 'other things" ignoring the long queues.
Also everything keeps getting moved or is constantly out of stock and you are told to use click and collect. Poor service indeed.

Thank you this morning to the tiny Oriental young lady this morning. I wanted to buy a particular notebook that has been out of stock for 2 weeks. Last night I saw that it was now in stock here.so I rushed there this morning.but could not find it on the shelves. So I asked the cashier and called for assistance. She looked and then brought the high trolley up to search the top shelves. Still could not find it.most would have given up.she took the time to go to the back storage and found it.

Getting a print job done first thing on a Sunday morning. Truc was so helpful. I couldn’t email the file due to size and she tried a bunch of different work arounds. She made it work and i am just waiting for the booklet to be bound now. Thanks Truc!
